What Chick-Fil-A Taught Me About Business
Mind you, I've never worked for or been associated with Chick-Fil-A. My only direct dealings with the Original Chicken Sandwich restaurant is ordering their 3-count chicken strip meal. But I've learned a TON from them. Let me explain.... From the moment you step foot into a Chick-Fil-A establishment (or pull up in the drive-thru), you are greeted with a warm smile and IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Compare this to some other chicken restaurants that may have a better tasting product, but horrible customer service. They’ve SYSTEMATICALLY constructed a method of efficient deliver. No matter how long the line is, your food will be handed to you within 10 minutes, tops. Talk about dedication to FULFILLMENT. Their CONSISTENCY is unparalled. If I ask for 7 napkins, 2 Polynesian sauces, 3 creamers, 4 sugars for coffee, and lemon in my tea, they get it right and exact EVERY SINGLE TIME. This shows that they PAY ATTENTION to the customer. And on the rare occasion where something is missing or out of order, they apologize and RESOLVE THE ISSUE PROMPTLY with the same smile I was greeted with. I’ve been to Chick-Fil-A restaurants all over the state (and in other states), and regardless of where I go, I can depend on their consistency. In conclusion, Chick-Fil-A may just be a fast-food restaurant to some, but to those who pay attention, it is a masterclass in business success. Chick-Fil-A has set the standard for how businesses should operate by focusing on customer service, consistency, and mastering the art of creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back time and time again. Sure, Popeyes chicken may have more flavor, but it’s not just about the food, it's about the MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE.
