Hey Ya’ll!
I’m Heather, a teacher, baker, and mom of four from Oklahoma. I’ve been baking for years, but macarons are my current obsession… and humbling experience. 😅 I’m still pretty new to macarons and working on mastering all the little details that seem to have a mind of their own. One batch gives me beautiful feet, the next batch decides to crack, hollow out, or remind me who’s really in charge. I’m here to learn, soak up all the tips and tricks, share my successes (and failures), and hopefully connect with other macaron makers who have survived the learning curve. What’s the one piece of macaron advice you wish someone had given you when you first started?

Thanks Crystal I loveeee this recipe! Its not too sweet which is what i didnt like about the french version. Now 🥴.. the meringue! I have the 5 qt kitchenaid with the regular 6 wire whisk. I checked throughout the process but it never came to a stiff peak. It remained glossy and after several whisk checks, it always tipped over slightly. After 25 mins I started second guessing and proceeded on to the macaronage stage. I bake one pan at a time. The first pan came out great. Perfect texture and full .. maybe 4-5 came out lopsided and extra feet. Every pan after was not stuck to the mat but wet inside. I have a regular samsung gas range and The oven drying worked well! Im definitely going to retry this. Any tips?

Macarons
Hello, everyone I’m new to this community. I’m a full time homemaker . I bake cakes, pies , cheesecakes and sugar cookies . Macarons is one item that I’m still trying to perfect . I’ll have one good batch and several terrible batches. I’m still learning what the best temp for macarons with my oven . I’ve considered purchasing a counter electric oven to see if that can help . I’m so desperate to get my macarons full and perfect. This is my last time I had a good batch and it was 6 months ago . I’m excited to be apart of this community. I’m excited to try the recipe and see if that can give me the confidence I need to perfect these macarons .
