I like to jog, old age has prohibited that at times.

He blesses her character, the lord places her in Boaz’s field rather than another where she would likely be harmed. The lord places you where you need to be, when you need to be there when you listen and aren’t hesitant to move.

I’m really struggling with being still and staying patient……, but I just keep repeating “Your will Lord, not mine”

Psalm 60 - sometimes life is devastating, we get hit with tragedy, trauma, and unfair circumstances. Nothing is for waste, the lord takes all of my adversity and sorts it out for my good and His glory. John 8 - Jesus demonstrates gods mercy in real time by not condemning the woman caught in adultery. Whoever is without sin should cast the first stone. Nobody is clean, not even one. No sin is above another in the kingdom, sin comparison leads to death. I pray for the kind of mercy, empathy and grace that Jesus displays when he frees this woman. I am a man of grace and mercy. Jesus leaves her with a command, leave your life of sin. That same command is given to me. Judges 16 - Samson and Delilah, the gaslighting and manipulation on Delilah’s side. On the surface, it’s easy to look at Samsons situation and see the manipulation from her. It’s easy to judge from the outside looking in. When we are immersed in a scenario, especially with somebody we love we can lose our sense of logic and the ones we trust the most hurt us the most. I think proverbs deliberately describes wayward women as such a downfall to men because of situations just like this.

Except for the unforgivable sin……blasphemy
Bible reading + notes 5/12
Proverbs 12 - Pride and Ego are walls built up, they resist correction and resist wisdom. My defensiveness when I’m approached with correction or feedback is evidence of a prideful heart. I wish to receive wisdom and wish to live in correction. A wife is such good gift from the lord, a crown. I think back to two marriages that were squandered, where I took for granted the calling of marriage and allowed my own pride, comfort and selfishness rot what could’ve been fruitful. It’s all led me to today, and the man the lord has shaped and continues to shape me to be. My scars are wisdom. I am a man of humility, self control, and accountability. John 7 - he who speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory. The lord has been working on me in this area and I’ve had to really examine my pride. I felt some conviction before launchpad and heard the lord clearly while at launchpad, re-examine your heart posture and make a correction. Good intentions are great, but if not consistently reviewed it’s human nature to drift. Judges 14 - Samsons story shows us how easily a man can be manipulated by a woman, I don’t think as clearly or use the best discernment when women are involved. Samsons wife manipulated him, then betrayed him without hesitation. She wasn’t a Jewish woman, she was a philistine. It sheds light on the importance of seeking a wife who is equally yoked. Different beliefs = different morals.

“Yoked” seems to be a central theme in my life lately, my mother has mentioned it 3 times recently, when I’ve brought up my ex’s. I need to be the man God has intended for me, before I even consider looking to be equally yoked. I don’t want a “strike 3”
