Psalm 59 - I am nothing without the Lords strength, he is strength where I am weak. The lord is faithful. I am stripping away my pride one layer at a time. Lord continue to expose my areas of pride that act as a shield to your spirit working fully in me. My enemies may circle me, but I boast in you lord. I am a man of humility, surrender, and faith. John 6 - the spirit is life and the flesh counts for nothing. Through my sanctification process there are so many layers of pride and ego that have been working in me, disguised as protection, fear, control, laziness, protest, and more. My flesh tells me not to approach someone, that it’ll be weird but the spirit urges me. My pride has won in that situation too many times, but it stops now. I am a man of obedience and action. John 7 - Jesus was plotted against, whispered against, many tried to deceive him. He was always a target, and it was because he was a threat to the religious leaders control, authority, Position, their platforms, and their status. I protest in the same way, I push out Jesus so I can have my influence the way I want it, and my position the way I’ve “earned it” - Lord humble me down and let my pride be stripped away. May I take any impure motives and kill them, and let my actions be a full reflection of your direction and instruction at work in me. I am a man of surrender and obedience. Judges 13 - the birth of Samson, while the Israelites are under philistine rule because of their rebellion against God. Manoah prayed for the lord to provide wisdom on how to raise a child dedicated to the Lord, they sought wisdom through humility and their weakness. The lord wants us to come to him for instruction and wisdom. He is faithful to provide. I seek the lord through humility.

Psalm 59 - David is writing as his house is under surveillance from Saul’s men. He’s scared, he’s angry, he’s innocent. He’s being slandered and his enemies are ruthless. I’ve been in seasons where I feel attacked, misunderstood, targeted. Lord may I on you when evil is knocking and allow your judgment to intervene. This psalm is a direct emotion of Savidnin the moment but such a prophetic psalm also pointing to Jesus and what he is going to endure. John 6 - Do not work for food that spoils, but food that endures to eternal life. I find myself so over consumed with working, working to please my clients, my men, working for the approval of man. I’m a man of service and generosity, lord may I channel these gifts to bring you glory. ”All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.“ John‬ ‭6‬:‭37‬ There’s a lot of comfort reading this today. To Come - is an action, it’s not a passive, one time thing to come to Jesus and receive salvation.. it’s a decision followed by movement. It’s something continual, he wants my storm, he wants my mess, he wants to share in my victories. He wants me to come to him, it’s an open invite for every single occasion. I am not ashamed to seek out my savior, I am a man deserving of his gifts and provisions. Judges 10 -tells the history of several men who judged over Israel and the outcomes. The themes are the same, they worship other gods, they turn their back on the lord, they come to destruction, they crawl back to the lord who extends immeasurable mercy. It’s the same formula in my life. My idols are worldly, my idols are fleshly, when I come to ruin i consult the lord and he saves me, he brings me peace. Lord forgive my nature to place things ahead of my relationship with you. I am a man who seeks the Lord, I am a man of humility and repentance.

Psalm 58 - it’s so natural and easy to want to take judgment into my own hands when someone has done me wrong, or has hurt me in any way. I want them to feel pain and suffering in the moment to somehow make myself feel better, the lord is a righteous judge. I heard a phrase “ I judge people by the results of their actions, but i want to be judged by my intentions” my perception is skewed. Faith mean allowing the lord to step in and judge righteously, each person, according to what they’ve done. Lord give me the faith and patience to allow you to be the judge. John 6 - a young boy shows up with 5 small loaves and 2 fish, a sack lunch. He was bold enough to offer it up, he must’ve also known that Jesus can use anything, as long as you’re an available, and obedient. This boy shows a level of generosity that’s admirable. Who knows how far he traveled, but this was his food for the journey and he was willing to share it with 5000. The lord multiplies offerings and fills everyone up to the point of overflow. I’ve not been as generous financially as my business has been a bit slower lately. If god can (and will) multiply what o sow, who an into hoard it? I am a man of stewardship and generosity. Judges 9 - this passage shows a result of favoritism, selfishness and greed as the people elect and install an undeserving man to rule over them rather than being loyal to the family line of men that had gotten them to the position of success they were living in. Abimelek plundered, mass murdered, and showed No mercy to anyone who opposed him, and it ended up being his downfall. I’ve done this before, I’ve used a position of power or leadership and shown favor to one person over another because of a personal relationship. The lord detests dishonest scales and does not show favoritism and neither should I. I am a man of honesty and integrity.
