Book club anyone?
Generally speaking, I don’t read much, and going to book club means going to the movies with the guys. But I do try to listen to books regularly. As requested, here is the book I’m currently listening to, “Profitable Painter,” by Daniel Honan, CPA. …Next on my list is probably going to be either “Choice Theory,” by William Glasser, or “The Paradox of Choice,” by Barry Schwartz.

Nice! Thanks for sharing @Dallas Marley! I've heard of "Paradox..." but not "Choice Theory." Going to check them out! And @Colby Wilcock "Alchemist" is an all time fave! Enjoy!
Mindset Monday - Sep 29
Thanks to everyone who jumped on today's Mindset Monday call! Last week we talked about shifting from Operator to Owner. Today we asked ourselves: how do you lead yourself in a way that sets the tone for everything else? We talked about the importance of Clarity, Consistency, Energy and Reflection as pillars of self leadership and some practical habits that help cultivate greater levels of self mastery in every area of life. These include a morning routine that sets the tone and aligns you with your vision, carving out CEO time in your weekly schedule, having a daily "Focus 3," and making sure to track and celebrate your wins. Journal Prompts: 1. What daily habits set the tone for how I lead? 2. Where do I drift into reaction instead of intention? 3. What 3 things matter most for my business this week? 4. What would it look like to protect 2 hours for “CEO Time”? Action Step: - Implement one new self-leadership habit this week (morning ritual, weekly block, or daily “Focus 3”). If you missed the call today, join us next week. Check out the Calendar tab for details!
Mindset Monday!
Hey Gang! Just wrapped up our weekly leadership and personal growth discussion. We had a fantastic discussion on Accountability. If that word made your stomach clench, I get it. For many people, Accountability sounds a lot like Blame. Looking back on your results and feeling like you are the one to blame can feel pretty heavy. However, I prefer to define Accountability merely as the recognition of what choices created my results. Without any judgement. Viewed this way, Accountability can become synonymous with Empowerment. Do I like my results? If not, what choices created them? What choices can I make next time to try to produce different results? That's true ownership! Viewed in that way, accountability becomes a powerful tool to drive reflection and improvement in our businesses. So here's the challenge for you this week... ask yourself the following: - What's one thing that has been frustrating me about my business? - What choices did I make that led to that result? (No judgement!) - What different choice can I make today to begin creating a different result? Give that a try and post your discoveries here for others to learn from! If you missed today's call, make sure to join us next week! The calendar tab has all the info on meeting times and how to join the Zoom calls. In the meantime, we're working on creating a space to post past meetings. Get out there and kill it this week!
