Then this happened...
I've had an absurd week. My business email got hacked, criminals took out credit cards in my businesses name and the audit for my business that I have been working on for weeks was sidelined. The vast majority of my attention was diverted thanks to the state of the world we live in, and people trying to steal from the good thing that I am doing in my organization. I'M PISSED! That said, I will learn what I need to to make changes, shore up loose ends - and this my friend will FUEL me toward working even more diligently on the things I'm creating for solo boss moms and for my family! Thanks for letting me vent. Much love.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I have been hacked and it is no fun. I also screen for criminal activity in my real estate transactions cuz yep it’s a nasty world.
How do you set your day?
Do you have a morning ritual by which you set your day for success? And/or nighttime ritual that allows you to decompress from the day, reflect and set the stage for rest?

In morning!! Help me!! Just Give me coffee! lol I started to answer this as.... well... not really. But then I quickly realized that was silly. My morning and evening "rituals" have become habits so here it is: I ask one question every morning when I start my day.... God what are you inviting me into? It sets my perspective to purpose. At the end of the day, I like to reflect on my interactions with others and ask God where I could have done better and if I have harmed anyone in my way. haha My way. and therein lies the problem..... my part. I am in love with God and even though I feel disciplined pretty hard most of the time, I do not feel forsaken.

@Stephanie Stevens Your discipline in the morning is admirable. I strive to be better at this 🙏🏻 ok and I think I need to implement the gratitude list. Thank you for the reminder. We can talk about it all we want but putting it to pen and page is a game changer. Challenge on 🙏🏻 Thank you!!
Hey gorgeous
A word of encouragement for you today. When people ask me "what it's like" to own and run a growing company my mind immediately goes to Ginger Rogers response when she was asked what it was like to "dance with Fred Astaire?" Her response makes me side smile, "I did everything he did, but backwards and in high heels." Right? 😉 So...yea...we do what others do. We manage employees, make sales, create products and services and we do it secondarily to our first most important job (priority) which is raising our kids and families as solo parents - often playing the role of both mother AND father. How do we do it? By the grace of God! Why do we do it? What are the other options? Should we do it alone? Never. I'm excited about building this sisterhood with you. Love you

Welcome Denise!
Welcome Denise! I'm so glad you're here! Denise describes herself as : "a Jesus, lover of my soul, Married to the love of my life Empty Nester to two amazing kiddos Mama D to many others." The reason Denise and Caryl fit well into this group, is because despite the fact that they are both married - they are the primary bread winners of their household! Nothing "easy" or "simple" about that! Denise, how can I best support you here? :)

Hi Stephanie! Thank you for the invite. I appreciate the connection and look forward to digging in. I am so glad you kept the "Boss" in your name. It resonates. It still empowers! Being the "bread winner" and the woman of the house is a confusing dichotomy biblically. It comes with a ton of judgement, self-doubt and glorious victories that only God can conjure up. It's not an easy path but its mine and I love God and I love my family ♥
