Hi Deborah, do you train at CrossFit Alaska in Anchorage?
Training T2B
It's not always best practice to train a full T2B if you cannot connect the reps. Doing more reps under lighter load will help you learn to establish rhythm (of the torso swing) and ROM (of the legs) that will serve as the foundation of your kipping T2B to come! If your plan is to do a T2B that is less than the full thing, you are eliminating some of the ROM from the leg swing. ROM takes time, so by lessening the ROM you are in fact lessening the amount of time it takes for your legs to swing from behind you to the bar (and back down). Body proportions do affect the tempo of a swing (short torso and arms means faster swing tempo, and the inverse is true as well), but as a general guideline for Half T2B + you should be aware of where you are jumping and how it should match your ROM as a shorter ROM should also have a faster tempo (swing of the torso). Check out this magnificent drawing (I'm kidding). If you know what your goal "Highest Point" of your leg swing is going to be, adjust your starting position accordingly! This is added in the First 4 T2B program on Week 6, Day 3. If you need some help learning your First 4 T2B reps (the foundation to building consistent volume in T2B), try my program for 5 days for FREE -> https://goat.fitr.training/p/first4t2b

Bar MU Drill
Working on the BMU dill arching under the bar to front support. It is not pretty at all but that is why I need your help. A lot of the issue is fear, when my knees were bad, the arch under hurt. It doesn’t hurt now, but still in the back of my head. There are 2 videos, one is really ugly and a fail but the arch is better

Kipping HSPU Drill (if you're not ready for the full ROM)
Happy new year everybody! I think I might have missed the boat on that, but I hope it's all going really well so far! I promise to try to get more material on this page that you might find interesting. I'm currently just trying to keep up with the several programs I'm writing, get new video materials filmed at the gym, edit and reply to all the lovely people training! This is a new one, and it works for me! Granted, I do have a kipping and strict HSPU already, but if you don't quite yet and you want to give the kipping drill here a go, I would love to hear how it feels for you! This movement is not currently in any programs, so it's a bit of a trial to see if it's something you might find helpful. My hopes are that YOU DON'T GET INJURED, you dig up a bit of new technique for your kip, and also I wish you find more confidence in your kipping HSPU! Please, if you give this a go I would love for you to get some video of it so I can see how it works for you, and I would really appreciate some feedback about your experience! Thanks, and best wishes from your number one fan πŸ™‚ https://youtube.com/shorts/0M3aSlUQsYw

Bummer, that is an awesome tool. I do understand that it is expensive, I have friends with a dog sanctuary outside of Sydney. Oooh that would be great if you brought one to Fla!

I am not sure I ever thought about having my head too far from the wall, but playing with the different positions, I can see a big difference in pressure on my hands and head

@Travis Ewart Yes there is, they are asking what it costs for you to come and how many can take the seminar. They are also asking if the gym can stay open for Open Gym in the other area of the gym.
