No one cares about community
I've been thinking a lot about this lately, and would love your thoughts. I am a big believer that while we here all love community, most people out in the rest of the world don't care about community at all. What they really care about...is utility. People want to know what they will uniquely get out of your space that they can't get anywhere else. In thinking about THIS community builders community, and making it valuable I'm going to start doing Daily Checkins and start up the course with an intro for how to make a good culture of accountability. Sharing weekly wins and creating daily accountability is something you couldn't get in Skoolers as an example. Do you do any form of accountability in your own communities, or want to? Would love to know if you'd find that to be valuable here!

How to grow your community with 0 following
Hello to our friends new and old! This video + PDF guidebook give insights for how people are successfully growing their Skool communities as complete beginners with no following, and how you can research what your winning peers are doing to learn from them. // Let's start with a bit of context. Your results will absolutely vary, but this strategy is as old as they come. You should also know what your peers are doing to get members by reviewing the Skool Games tab and digging a bit - how are THEY growing their Skool communities? - You need a good offer that will interest strangers - You need to find the right strangers so you're not just a random spammer - You need to get that offer seen by them in a way that won't harass them So then what's the best way to do grow from scratch? DMing people! My playbook is very simple. 1) I search out subreddits and Facebook groups where my ideal audience is already hanging out 2) I do my best to give value to them or be otherwise recognized 3) I reach out directly with a real account I actually use and offer for them to join my community and why I think they'd enjoy it 4) I do that 80-100 times a day per platform. Make sure you don't do more than that on Reddit at least because they will be unhappy and you'll get banned. Pro tip - do not do this on Skoolers because Skool is not social media. People here want to know you care, and if relevant they will join your community. You CAN connect with people here, but keep it to under 10 people a week so the moderation algorithm knows you're not a spammer. // Your next question is ok - what then do I say? That's going to vary from community to community, but you should just tell them WHY you're reaching out, and what outcome will they get from joining your group! Very few people care about community at face value - what they really care about is UTILITY.

I really don't know what I am doing yet. I think that I made a really nice comment and I might have accidently removed it. I hope not because I found the video very helpful and informative. Also very well done.
The Simple 3 Step Formula To Build Engaged Communities FAST
In this video, I'm going to show you exactly why community is your strongest moat, who am I to even talk about this, and three easy steps to go from just an educational creator to a sought-after community builder. // Who am I to talk about this topic? My name is Matt, and I'm grateful for you being here. I've been a passionate community builder throughout my life. I created the r/competitiveoverwatch subreddit and grew it from 0 to its first 150,000 members. I've launched, moderated and operated multiple discords and Facebook groups. most recently I spent nearly a decade at monday.com as the first employee in the US while hiring hundreds and managing up to 87. And I'm all in when it comes to the community building game. That's because communities are the ultimate moat. They are impossible to replicate. Plus, people stop using products, they leave services - but they don't want to drop their friends. // Did you know that in 2023, over 60% of adults in the U.S. reported feeling lonely? That’s a 13% increase from just a decade ago and a 30% increase from the past few decades. And it’s not just a Western problem y'all - countries like Japan and the UK are seeing similar trends. And while we’re more connected than ever through technology, we’re trusting each other significantly less. A recent study found that only 34% of people trust their neighbors, and trust in governments and corporations is at an all-time low. And now, as AI begins to replace human interactions from chatbots to virtual companions we’re facing a future where genuine human connection is becoming a luxury. // When we rely on algorithms to make decisions, when we prefer screens over faces, and when we lose the ability to connect authentically. Imagine a world where half of humanity feels disconnected, where trust is eroding, and where even creators the people who bring us together are struggling to survive. Why community building matters now is because numerous experts predict that within the next 3 to 5 years AI could replace up to 30% of jobs, not just in factories but in roles that require empathy, like customer service and therapy.
