🌿 April Challenge Inspired by Nature 🌿
April is here (almost), and with it comes that little shift that gets us outside again, into the light, into the fresh air, and a bit closer to everything around us. Nature is waking up, and so is our creativity! 🌸✨ This month, we are taking our inspiration straight from nature. And yes, that includes pretty much everything you can think of. Flowers, plants, and organic shapes 🌼 Animals and all kinds of creatures 🐾 Landscapes, textures, and the little details you suddenly start noticing 🌊 Your task is to create something that reflects what you see or feel when you step outside. Or even what you think you see when you stare at a cloud for a little too long 👀 It can be anything you like. A sculpture. A functional piece. Something painted, carved, printed, or fully experimental. 🎨 There are no limits here, only your interpretation. 🌱 One important rule Your piece should be created in April. Not something you pull out of your shelf thinking, “well, this kind of fits.” Nice try! 😄 Just like spring creates something new, this is your moment to do the same. You can also challenge yourself a little. Try something you have not done before. Go for that idea that once felt a bit too tricky. See what happens if you just give it a go. And of course, you are very welcome to share your ideas, your process, your progress, or even those moments where things are not quite working yet. That is all part of it, and honestly where the good stuff happens. Let’s inspire each other, learn from each other, and maybe surprise ourselves along the way! 💛 By the end of the month, we will hopefully have a whole collection of pieces that show just how much creativity this season can spark. Now go out, look around, and then get your hands dirty! 🌿✨

My mug is inspired by leaves blowing in the wind…
Displaying at markets
I'm getting to the point where I think some of my stuff maybe the right quality to sell. However I'm looking for ideas on how to display things. I've bought a couple of shelves from temu but they don't really work as I thought they would. So looking for ideas from the collective hive mind. If you have links and recommendations, even better. It doesn't help that I only have a 4ft (120cm) table at home. How do you display your pieces? Especially bigger pieces?

@Renée Glasgow stunning setup Renee!
Howdy!
Hi everyone, Shane here! It took me awhile, but I’m finally checking out this awesome community! I’m mostly a wheel-thrower but I love anything made with clay. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Great to have you on board!
Hey guys… I can’t quite believe I’m typing this…
I’ve got a kiln opening on YouTube tonight 🥹💛 Honestly… it felt SO strange filming it. I was stood there thinking “how do I even do this again?!” 😅 I felt really anxious beforehand, completely rusty, and at times my words just would not come out how they normally do. There are definitely moments where I’m like… who is this woman and what is she trying to say 😂 So yes… presentation-wise it might be my most “rusty Jeanette” video to date… BUT thankfully I was really happy with what came out of the kiln, which is the main thing! I genuinely have no idea what the algorithm is going to do with it after being away for so long — it might just quietly disappear into the YouTube abyss — but I wanted to share it with you all because you’ve been such a huge part of this journey. Being on the other side of everything now still feels surreal. It’s definitely shifted my mindset, and I’m just so, so grateful — for my family, for this community, and for being able to be back in the studio doing what I love again 💛 The video will be available to watch at 6pm UK time — I’ll pop a link below that should show it in your own timezone (thank you Gwen for that little gem!) Hope it works! <t:1776272400:F> And… if you do fancy giving the algorithm a little nudge for me, a like/comment on the video would mean the world 💛And if anyone happens to have any Hypes left and feels like using one… I think it helps?! 😂 (still figuring that one out!) ** Have any of you ever had that “first time back” feeling after a break? It really threw me! ** Big love to you all https://youtu.be/yttFNeltXRU?si=ENTGUDlAeZsLuuYQ

Help with reglaze
I have a large bowl that pin-holed and crazed in my last glaze fire. I love the bowl so would like to refire. I’m going to sand down the pinholes. Sarah from Three Little Potters recommended a stable, low-expansion glaze that may even address the crazing. I was thinking honey flux, but I don’t know which glazes are low-expansion. Does anyone have recommendations? It’s the first thing I pull out of the kiln in the linked video… so you don’t have to watch the whole thing to see what I’m talking about. Also adding a photo. Thanks for any ideas you may have 😁 https://youtu.be/AQqgr_jCE2o?si=Wz64GvLABwcvi1pW
