What's the Most Underrated Thing You Bring to a Craft Market? ๐Ÿ˜‚
Every vendor has that one item they pack for every single market. It isn't one of their products, it isn't part of their display and most shoppers would never even notice it. But if you forgot it at home, you'd probably spend the entire day wishing you hadn't. ๐Ÿ˜ŽI'm curious what that item is for you. Maybe it's a battery pack that has rescued your card reader more than once. Maybe it's binder clips that somehow solve half the problems you run into. It could be a small fan, duct tape, comfortable shoes, a folding step stool or that emergency stash of chocolate you swear is "just in case." ๐Ÿ˜„ Some of the best market tips aren't the big things. They're the little tricks we've all picked up after doing enough events to know what can go wrong. So let's compare notes. What's the most underrated thing that's become a permanent part of your market kit? If there's a funny story behind why you started bringing it, even better. I have a feeling we're all about to add a few new things to our packing lists.

What's the Weirdest Thing Someone Has Ever Asked You at a Market? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‚
One of my favourite things about doing craft markets is that no two days are ever the same. Every market seems to come with at least one conversation that leaves you thinking... Did they really just ask me that? ๐Ÿ˜„ I've heard questions like: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ"Did you make all of this yourself?" ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ"Is this real stone?" Or the classic: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ"What's your best price?" before they've even looked around your booth. Those little moments become the stories we end up telling other vendors because only another vendor truly understands them. So now I'm curious... What's the funniest, strangest, or most memorable question you've ever been asked at a craft market? Let's swap stories. I have a feeling there are going to be some great ones in the comments. ๐Ÿ˜„

I get asked if things are hand made or do I use a machine (sewn items) I never quite understand the point theyre making. Is machine made cheating? Do they think their store bought clothes are machine made, never touched by a human? People are weird ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

@Lisa Graham yes, this is probably why I rarely do markets any more ๐Ÿ˜†

Where are you advertising your products and upcoming markets?
๐Ÿ’ซThere are so many places vendors can promote what theyโ€™re making and where theyโ€™ll be selling next, but Iโ€™m curious about whatโ€™s actually working for you right now. Are you using social media? Local Facebook groups? Posters around town? Email lists? Word of mouth? Maybe youโ€™ve found a local event calendar that brings people through the door? Share where youโ€™re advertising your handmade products and upcoming craft markets in the comments. If something has worked especially well for you, tell us about that too. It might be exactly the idea another vendor has been looking for.โค๏ธ

@Lisa Graham I did do a few that were not standard, but I never paid anything. Cant rememeber what they were called. Yes I'll stick to regular from now on. Users are already complaining about too many ads on there. It is becoming an issue. And the ads cant be pinned so they're single use really ๐Ÿค”

A little of what I do - my knitwear display
I thought I'd share a little of my work and one of the ways I display my knitwear at craft fairs. It's never quite the same twice โ€” I'll always take into account the location of the table, where I want to draw the eye first, and what stock I have available on the day. I always include POS within the display, and everything is individually labelled and priced โ€” more comfortable for the customer, and it also keeps things in line with Trading Standards regulations here in the UK. There are so many factors to consider when you decide to do an event!

Carrying on from a post from Cathy Copeland. My advice is to take photos of sections of your products instead of the whole layout.
