I'm falling behind and I know it
Titans, it's been a rough week for me. It's enough for me as it is being very limited during shoulder surgery recovery, but this past week I was really sick. I didn't even get out of bed for 3 days for the most part. I lost about 6 lbs that I'm slowly getting back, and for the most part had very little appetite. That made it much harder than it's typically been to come close to hitting any goals that I was already having trouble keeping up with, both personal goals and nutrition goals. Regardless, I'm starting to climb out of it, and I'll continue to keep achieving what I can slowly but steadily, so by next week I'll be able to say I achieved some "wins" for myself. The fact that I just have to go a little slower isn't doesn't mean I'm going stop.

That last line is the win, Ron. There’s a difference between falling behind and being forced to slow down for a while. Surgery recovery and getting sick aren’t failures of discipline. The mistake would be turning a temporary setback into a permanent excuse. Right now the job is simple: recover, do what you can, and keep moving forward at the pace your situation allows. Progress doesn’t always look impressive from the outside. Sometimes it’s just refusing to stop. 💪
The 10 Minute Rule
Men, Some days you’re just not feeling it. You’re tired. Work sucked. Motivation is gone. The last thing you want to do is train. So make yourself a deal: Give it 10 minutes. Get on the treadmill. Pick up the weights. Start stretching. Go outside and walk. You don’t need to promise yourself an hour. Just 10 minutes. If after 10 minutes you still feel like garbage and want to call it—you can. But more often than not, something happens once you get moving. Ten minutes becomes twenty. You finish the workout. And even if you don’t? You still didn’t have a zero day. This applies outside the gym too. Ten minutes cleaning the garage. Ten minutes looking at your finances. Ten minutes working on something you’ve been avoiding. Ten minutes actually playing with your kids without your phone. Starting is usually the hardest part. So when your brain starts negotiating with you today, don’t worry about finishing. Just give it 10 minutes. FORGE ACCOUNTABILITY What’s something you’ve been putting off or don’t feel like doing today? Drop it below and commit to giving it 10 minutes. Then come back when it’s done and tell the boys how far you actually went. Put it out there. Then go earn it.

I find these end up being some of my best workouts. it's like a defied the odds already once I've ignored the inner B****h....... ever jump off a cliff into the water? The loner one contemplates jumping, the higher percentage it won't happen. Just like Ron, I like the inertia of just moving. basically, just go, don't allow yourself to think or feel. so negotiating isn't an option
THE WAR WITHIN: THE TRUTH BEFORE THE COMEBACK
As a retired pro athlete, coach, and gym owner… you’d think I would’ve had enough knowledge, experience, and self-respect to stay in shape. I didn’t. And I ended up looking like this. The truth is, knowledge means nothing when you stop holding the line. You can know exactly what to do… and still drift. Still numb out. Still make excuses. Still wake up one day and barely recognize yourself. Titans 4 Life as a brand and movement started before my transformation. It was born during my own war against average — built by the part of me that refused to quit. Because eventually, I got tired of hearing myself talk about discipline. I needed to live it again. I was broken in a lot of ways. Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. Beat down, frustrated, disappointed in myself… and dangerously close to the point of just giving up. But I’m not built that way. So I made a decision. No RaaRaa Not a Monday-morning, motivational-quote decision. A real one. The kind where you stop negotiating. You stop lying to yourself. You stop waiting to “feel ready.” And you start earning your self-respect back one day at a time. That’s what this transformation has really been about. Not abs. Not vanity. Not proving I can still do it. This was about becoming the man I knew I was supposed to be. A man who lives by a code. A man who keeps his word. A man people can trust, follow, and respect because he’s leading from the trenches. And that’s exactly what Titans 4 Life stands for. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about ownership. It’s about facing the truth. It’s about rebuilding yourself when life, bad habits, or your own decisions have taken you off course. So if you’re in a low point right now… hear me clearly: You are not done. You are not too far gone. And you are not weak for having fallen off. But you do have to decide. No one is coming to drag you back to your standard. That part is on you. For me, this wasn’t the end of the story. It was the turning point. The grind is the gold.
