Feeling stuck
Just starting out, wanting to help women navigate menopause. Do not feel that I can narrow this down into a specific avatar. Any suggestions appreciated.

I recently saw a very interesting "Special Menopause Guide" in Oprah's "O Quarterly - Volume 3, Number 3, 2023". You would likely get some good ideas for avatars from that. PS - I'm not kidding. And yes men also read O magazine 😉
One Community or Multiple Communities?
I thought I'd ask the Growthworks because you have so many different business models. I have like 5 different communities and product members areas, but none of them have the engagement they could together. But I'm always concerned about putting multiple buyer levels together . . . So . . .your personal opinion please: Would you have one community, and have different product levels in one place, and let everyone mingle . . or would you have a free, then a paid, then a high-end tier? Thanks for your opinions!!

Hi @Sean Mize . A couple questions: 1) are all 5 groups for the same Topic / Product? 2) do these groups "self manage" themselves, or do you monitor / contribute? 3) how do these groups "pay" (is it free, monthly, part of a program or packaged deal)? My belief is the whole "Ascending Ladder" concept, where the closer the customers get to you (and your direct time / inputs), the more they should pay. But then again, if I had a dime for every 'internet model' out there - I'd be rich! PS - your name sounds very familiar. Have you been in the Internet / Infoproduct space for many years?
Course platform choices
I'm wondering what course / LMS platform people are using to host their courses/ content. I'm currently considering Skool vs Thinkific and can see that Aaron, obviously, is using Skool, which seems sleek and very cool, but seems to be missing some key features like cohorts, quizzes, etc. I'm just curious for people who have battle tested different platforms what they went with and *WHY*. Thanks!

@Ori Goldstein Apparently it is LIVE and out of Beta. The one thing I heard from some users is that there isn't a way to create separate 'communities' for a PAYING group and a NON PAYING group. I could be wrong but that is the last thing I heard people saying they wish was available (there are so many updates to GHL it is very hard to keep up). Otherwise, it is good to go.

@Jacky Francis Walker I know there are hundreds of people reselling GHL... The deciding factor really should be the 'value' provided by their work / information that they integrate into the platform (just like @Aaron Fletcher has done with his information and Growthworks). There are people reselling for all types of businesses. I just saw someone who has it set up for people with Lawn Cutting businesses! So for sure there are plenty of options for people now. In terms of 'marketing' I would say Growthworks is one of the top few GHL resellers.
PRICING FORMULA FOR MONTHLY, ANNUAL, LIFETIME
Dear Group members, I am creating a Course with Support. I will provide access to prospective students, with any of these 3 choices. Monthly subscription, Annual Subscription or Lifetime. Monthly & Annual provide access to proprietary code software. The Lifetime would be open code. In order to finalise my pricing I came up with this folloing formula, as a basis to start trying to see what the actual prices should be. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OPTION A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MONTHLY = $X ANNUAL = Monthly * 12 * 0.75 (i.e. 25% discount to monthly) LIFETIME = Annual * 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OPTION B ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MONTHLY = $X ANNUAL = Monthly * 12 (No discount, provide more support) LIFETIME = Annual * 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What do you think ?

Peter I would like to know what industry you are selling to (B2C, B2C, DTC, B2G etc). Depending on what is the 'expected' prices for your industry, using 'formulas' to calculate may not work. The easiest way to calculate is to see what the authorities in your field do when pricing (obviously, unless you are one of them you won't be able to charge their prices, but could see the various options they offer). When you say "support" do you mean a 'community' - like this one, or some coaching? If it is coaching - then the price should be higher. I would say anyone who pays for a 'longer' period would be given some sort of discount. Maybe the best idea is to 'ask them'. Tell some people "given the two options, which would they prefer?" Then make your decision based on their response.

I would define coaching as more 'direct' information. And community as more 'indirect'. As you see in this community, Aaron is not participating - but rather lets the group facilitate their own discussions (Indirect). Where in the more expensive coaching 'private' group, he and his staff are more involved (Direct). Your idea to have the community on 'monthly' and the coaching on 'yearly' is an interesting one. This may entice people to sign up for the "longer" duration, since they will be getting the more direct information. Just know that you then have to create the 2 options - the Community & Coaching. Maybe consider just doing one or the other - and not both. That would make less initial 'Set up' for you to do for getting things started. Perhaps introduce the 'other' option later (after Surveying your customers to see if they would pay for it!) Look up several of the better known people / brands in the investing field, and do a spreadsheet of their 'Prices / Offers'. I think a clear pattern will show up that you can use for your own programs. Best of luck!
This feedback from Todd Brown was...
So this is something I really want to share with you all and I'm sure it can help you in your marketing campaigns for sure. Few days back we received a feedback from Todd Brown on one of our funnel. And trust me those feedbacks were amazing. There were many of them, but one feedback that really hits me and I believe it's something that can create a huge impact on your results. And yesterday while doing some marketing talks with my friend I realized some old offers that performed really well is also because of the same reason. So let me come to that feedback directly. "People don't want to made, build or create anything, they don't want to put an extra effort, they want results." These are not the exact words but the meaning were the same. Now let's understand it - If you offer, you messaging contains such words that shows your audience that they have to put the extra effort, they have to do some more work, they have to change themselves, than you'll repel them. In today's time when everything is quick and easy, no one wants to do extra work. They just want results. I'm not saying you to say lie in your messaging but don't use such words that makes them feel like they have to the hard work there. If you implement this short change, this can bring a big result for you.

I think this would be a good starting 'Offer'. The DFY - Done For You offer. But that should be the "Highest Price" thing you offer people. And not everyone needs / can afford that. So I would also have 2 other offers: 1) The DWY - Done With You, where you are available to guide / answer questions (and this is the "Middle Price" offer) and 2) The DIY - Do It Yourself, which is a course / program (and this is the "Lower Price" of all the offers). You would be losing LOTS of $$$ by not giving people the options (at the various stages of your Sales Funnel). PS - Todd is a REAAALY smart guy - so you should listen to everything he says.
