Geek-to-Greek Athlete
Hi 👋! I’m a Seattle-based Geek becoming a Greek athlete. I want to grow in strength, endurance, and grit while I develop a Greek athlete physique. Happy to be here and lift each other up 🏋️‍♂️!
@James Johnson thanks!!
@Christine Reinhart thanks!!
Bathroom scale recommendations?
Random question here, I’ve had a scale from Walmart (weight watchers brand lol) for probably 10+ years now. I think it’s finally not calibrating anymore, and I have to weigh myself 3-5 times to see what the average/consistent weight is, even on the same exact spot on the floor every morning… every morning it spits out random numbers until it settles or is just way off by 8+ lbs. That said, what are y'all using?? I have a Garmin watch and would love to get a garmin scale, I’ve seen Hume and Withings. they’re very costly but I’m willing to splurge if it’s worth it. Or does any old scale from Walmart/Amazon seem to work for everyone? Thanks in advance!😊😊
I just use one from Walgreens, around $30. It measures BF% and other things!

Meowdy fellow people. I was curious if anyone could help assess my form. I’m not sure if im using too much body english with initiating the curl and my hips moving backwards. James has assured me these are fine, but what does HE know (I love you James). Even though he’s given his stamp of approval I can’t help but still OCD bit. Especially when I view others on Instagram (the most reliable fact based source of information, besides Reddit) of everyone not moving their hips at all, and I don’t seem to be able to grind reps. It’s either they move or they stop. No in between or ability of hammies to grind through a rep. I’m not sure if that’s how they are or associated with my form . Thoughts, comments, concerns? Thank you!

Subtle observation: I believe I saw a gap between your back and the pad. Is that right? If so, maybe try moving the pad closer to you so you don’t move your upper body as much. My 2 cents. @James Johnson please correct me if I’m wrong 😄
