๐Overcoming Limiting Beliefs๐ (and some silliness)
So, we posted about what limiting beliefs and empowering beliefs are. Here, we take a look at some of the ways that we can overcome them! ๐ How to Overcome Limiting Beliefs Step 1: ๐ฏ Choose Your Desired Outcome - Get clear on what you want to change - Identify the beliefs holding you back Step 2: ๐ Question Your Beliefs - Challenge their truth--how did we get here? Often some of these became engraved in childhood before we can think about them more analytically - Look for evidence that disproves them - Explore different perspectives Step 3: โ๏ธ Consider the Consequences - Ask yourself how keeping this belief affects your life - Reflect on the cost emotionally, physically, and relationally Step 4: ๐ฑ Create a New Empowering Belief - Choose a belief that supports growth - Make sure it feels believable and aligned with your goals and values - Lean into truth with this one too Step 5: ๐ช Strengthen the New Belief - Use quotes, affirmations, or role models for support - Build habits that reinforce the belief - Be okay with the discomfort that comes along with this--this is normal!! New neural pathways are being created and that is actual physical change happening (think about how working out can create soreness in the body--there's a similar sense that comes with this) Step 6: ๐ Make a Firm Decision - Commit fully to this change - Build confidence and motivation to stick with it Step 7: ๐งฉ Condition Your Belief - Visualize yourself living it - Anchor it with daily practices - Learn from people who embody it Step 8: ๐ก Align Your Life - Adjust environment, habits, and language to match the new belief - Use empowering questions daily Step 9: ๐ Put It Into Practice - Apply the belief consistently - Stay flexible and refine it as you grow ๐ฌ Question to ponder: Which step do you think will be most challenging for you, and which one feels most doable right now? I hope I don't offend anyone with this video but here's some silliness... certainty unconventional and meant for a laugh! I'll post more serious ones later!!
