Hello Everyone! I'm David from Chattanooga TN but I tend to be on the road more often than not. I have a lot of continued work in Texas as well as both East and West TN. I'm a DP that is comfortable shooting documentaries and live events that are rigorous and physically demanding. I shoot with a FX6 or FX3 depending on need. I edit in Davinci Resolve and love the collaborative nature of filmmaking. I believe that is why I enjoy narrative work more than commercials. @Alejandro Guimoye Same! Thanks for putting this community together.. I love seeing that people in here are connected from all over the world. Its great to see a wider perspective of what is going on in the film industry than just our small corner of the world.

I owned an IT company for about 20 years and then got into natural healthcare for the next 10 and about 7 years ago started working with photography and videography. Having done marketing for my own company and helped my clients in IT I started helping them with commercials. Gave me an instant warm client list that has proved useful. I also started networking with other professionals in a local Filmmakers Guild that I became involved with. This led me to DP for other Directors as well as found clients. Now it is a slow go building a client list and learning to provide more and more value in an ever changing environment of social media. I utilize SEO tools to coach clients on how to increase their ratings by utilizing properly my videos and other posts effectively. It's tricky not to join the race to the bottom as we are fighting the need for more posts with less time/money required for those posts. So it becomes an effort instead of producing 1 commercial you have to create 10 reels for the same money. More work, less money. The crystal ball for how to move to the next level is more often cloudy than clear these days.

I'm a DP / Filmmaker in Tennessee and just finished DP work for a music doc. Meanwhile I'm editing commercials I shot and have another commercial planned for next month. I've only done one short so far that is currently running in festivals. I'm really wanting to shoot more narrative films as I absolutely love it.

@Riccardo Suriano this is an impressive couple of trailers.. Well done. the first was a satisfying typical trailer that one is used to seeing for large productions. my assumption is you shot these scenes specifically as a teaser given the number of scenes involved but it was alluring for sure.. The second caught me off guard.. I was concerned at being almost through the whole trailer that I still didn't really know what it was about then the phone call and that gave me chills and you immediately knew what was up with the whole plot and you suddenly wanted to know more.. Excellent! love them both.
