Odd timings?
Hi everyone, do you have any tracks in odd time signatures? I’ve written plenty in bands over the years and occasionally use them in orchestral pieces too. Sometimes it’s just for fun, other times it’s to fit the visuals of a scene. I’d love to hear your odd-timed music if you’re open to sharing!

@Sean Walsh thanks yeah this one just came about from that main violin phrase, which was originally going to be even notes but with everything slowing down each bar, but it opened up some interesting options actually notating it.

Hi @George Strait FYI you'll gain a lot more by participating in this community than by spamming your link everywhere. Spamming doesn't work - and actually you're in a place with loads of info about promoting your music well - slow down for a minute and find it and you might gain something!
RUN, NOW!
Guys! Run! There's a HUGE mistake over on Guitar Center. I just got the entire UAD Suite for €63 using a friends US address. https://www.guitarcenter.com/Universal-Audio/UAD-Complete-3-1500000445150.gc

@Fish Oscine Not the most audacious thing that happened. We had one guy steal an expensive guitar in the most outrageously genius way...by taking the price tag off, then walking out holding it saying "thanks everyone see you later" to all the staff, smiling and waving as he went. No one stopped him 😀

@Fish Oscine it went out of business many years ago haha can't think why!

Congratulations! Are they are registered with a PRO yet? Never too early! 👼
8Dio's Requiem Nova
Anyone here have experience with 8Dio's Requiem Nova? They've sent me a 50% cross grade offer, because I own Requiem Pro. I didn't get along with that library or their other Kontakt choirs; found them too hard to work with compared to Chorus and Storm Choir. Is Requiem Nova easier to work with? Is Soundpaint a good platform? Thanks!

Never got on with any 8dio instruments...sounds were ok, just the UI and way they work never felt good for me. Same with Soundpaint.
Your GoTo?
What are your top goto plugins, and what do you use them for? 🤔

@Dilara Köseoglu I can jump in on this one as Ozone is one of my few go-to plugins. It's really good, except I find when using the automatic mastering it's really heavy on compression and can add more treble than I like. So I tend to run it, then turn off (or down) the compression and ease up on the eq from what it suggests...but aside from that its like magic. I've also found it really useful when it makes big changes...as I can then go back and fix the mix myself, and run it again, trying to get it to make as few changes as possible, and doing that has really helped my mixing - it's been like a mixing coach 😀

Only ones I'd have trouble living without are Ozone and Tonal Balance Control - other things like compression/reverb/eq I'm quite happy using the stock ones unless it's for special effects. U-he synths are great if you like to go deep. Pigments synth from Arturia is great if you prefer to just play around but still get great sounds. The whole synth bundle from Arturia is worth it. Noire from NI for all purpose piano. Damage and Damage 2 for big drums (don't overlook the first one, not as pretty but the sounds are great) All the other Heavyocity stuff is good and useful too. Audio Imperia do great stuff but sometimes will have patches with only a couple of keys you can use and that's a bit annoying. Nucleus spiccato strings are still outrageously good. Spitfire Symphony Orchestra is my favourite natural sounding orchestral library. Keepforest Devastator for big hits.
