🎸 Tab of the Week: Walk On The Wild Side
Hi, This week’s Tab of the Week is Walk On The Wild Side by Lou Reed. It’s a great 70s classic that sounds fantastic on acoustic guitar, especially for working on groove and timing. You can download both the Full and Easy versions now in the Classroom section. 📚 Back Catalogue Update A quick update on the back catalogue… I’ve started the (very big!) task of uploading all of my materials into Skool so everything is in one place and much easier to navigate than YouTube. The plan is to organise: • All song tabs • Arpeggios and exercises • Full learning pathways So if you’ve bought any tab packs before, you’ll be able to: • Follow along with the videos • Revisit everything in one place • Explore the full catalogue more easily 🎯 What’s Coming Next I’m also working on a premium version of the group, where you’ll be able to: • Access all videos in one place • Download all PDFs • Work through everything step-by-step Think of it as a “Netflix for fingerstyle guitar.” I should have the first collection of materials ready for you by Friday. Let me know if you’ve started Walk On The Wild Side yet 👇🎸

7 Dreamy Arpeggios (New Exercise Pack)
Hey, This week’s new fingerstyle exercise is ready, and we’re going back to arpeggios… but with a slightly different feel. These 7 arpeggios all have a more dreamy, atmospheric sound, created by using chord variations like maj7, m7, sus2, and sus4. Don’t worry if those sound complicated — in most cases, it just means taking a finger off or adding one to a chord shape you already know. Small changes, but they make a big difference to the overall sound. Inside the pack you’ll find: - All 7 arpeggios from the video - Simplified versions for beginners You’ll find everything in the Classroom tab. Any questions, just let me know 👍 Jack

🎸 Come Together – Fingerstyle Tab of the Week
Hey, Hope you all had a great Easter. This week’s Tab of the Week is the Beatles classic Come Together. Both the Full and Easy versions are now available in the Classroom tab, so you can choose your level and start working through it straight away. 📥 Don’t Miss It This tab is only available for this week. Once it rotates out, it’s gone — so if you’d like a copy, make sure you download both versions before the end of the week. Enjoy the groove on this one — it’s a great piece for building timing and control. Let me know in the comments if you're starting with the Easy or jumping straight into the Full 👇 Have a great week, Jack 🎸

Recorded over six days at the end of July 1969, ‘Come Together’ is the opening track from Abbey Road. the line, “Here comes old Flat-top” was taken from Chuck Berry’s ‘You Can’t Catch Me’, it eventually lead to a legal dispute between John and Morris Levy, the publisher of Chuck’s song. Finally settled out of court, it also resulted in John’s 1975 solo album, Rock ‘n’ Roll as he agreed, as part of the settlement, to record three songs owned by Levy. Originally a 1950’s style rocker, it was Paul that suggested they slow it down. “I suggested that we tried it swampy - ‘swampy’ was the word I used - so we did, we took it right down. I laid that bass line down which very much makes the mood. It’s actually a bass line that people now use very often in rap records.”
The Sound Of Silence Fingerstyle Tab Of The Week
Hey everyone, It’s Monday, so I’ve got some new materials ready for you. This week’s Tab of the Week is the beautiful Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel. You’ll find both the Full and Easy versions available to download in the Classroom tab. This week’s practice tip is a simple but really important one — using a metronome to improve your timing. It’s something we all know we should do, but don’t always do enough (myself included). If you’re just starting out, I’d really recommend building this into your practice now. It’ll help you avoid bad timing habits and make everything feel much smoother as you improve. Quick update — I’m currently working on getting more of my full back catalogue uploaded here. It’s a bigger job than I expected, and I want to make sure it’s organised properly so it’s easy for you to use. But it is coming, so thanks for your patience while I get everything set up. Enjoy the tabs this week, and let me know how you get on with Sound of Silence! Jack

Beginner Fingerstyle Blues - Lead Guitar
Hey everyone, this week’s new fingerstyle exercise is ready for you. This week we’re diving into lead fingerstyle blues. If you’ve never tried it before, it’s a really fun style to play, and you can join in no matter your level. Inside, you’ll find 5 blues lead licks (short guitar phrases), and each one comes in 3 levels: Level 1 - Play the lick on its own Level 2 - Add a simple open string bass Level 3 - Play it with a fuller bassline This step-by-step approach makes it easy to build up gradually, and it’s a great way to improve the coordination between your thumb and fingers. You can download everything in the Classroom tab. Enjoy, and let me know how you get on.

70+ years on this 3rd rock from the sun, eventually getting some time for myself. Decided to spend it improving my tennis game and learning the guitar
