Thanks for the reminder of strength training (week 3). I found a few trainings online that I have been following, but I feel I need to change it up. I get bored easliy.

What if the biggest transformation wasn't the weight loss?
Over the last 4 months, my private client Kristin lost 15 pounds and more than 10 inches overall. But that's not the part of her story that gets me emotional. For the last 4 years, since her father passed away, she was going through a sort of "functional depression". I currently use stretch band workouts for my shoulders, back, and arms. I also walk on the treadmill 5 days a week, at multiple inclines and speed. 😊 I can't wait for our weather to straighten up to get outside. Michigan is bi-polar 😆
What I didn’t expect from GLP-1s (that had nothing to do with weight loss)
When I first started a GLP1, I was focused on one thing 👇 I needed to lose weight and I needed it to start moving ASAP. I didn't want to lose it all fast, I just needed to see movement right away and a difference in the way I was feeling in my body. But what I didn’t expect were all the other changes that had nothing to do with the scale. For me, it looked like: • zero stress around food (which I didn't expect at all) • being able to go on vacation and not worry about gaining weight, never having to worry about what I was eating and how it was going to make me feel • coming home and feeling exactly the same in my body • no more gas or bloating after eating certain foods • no more uncomfortable, heavy feeling after eating • zero puffiness in my face and body • less inflammation and joint/back pain overall But the biggest shift overall?? Just feeling calm and normal in my body again‼️ Not overthinking food. Not worrying about how everything I eat is going to affect me. I think this is the part that doesn’t get talked about enough. Most people only focus on weight loss, but for a lot of women, especially during perimenopause and menopause these changes are just as powerful. Curious… For those of you who are already on a GLP1, have you noticed any of these? I would love to hear what your biggest take away from being on this medication is that isn't weight loss?? @Brenda Young , you are an inspiration!!! I know it is wishful thinking that insurance would cover it. Thankfully my A1C is good, but if it wasn't.........LOL If you don't mind me asking, how much per month do you spend on the GLP-1 ?
