My favorite tool is and always will be my draw knife. It's homemade and I know that it's not the most often used tool, however I love this tool because it is the beginning of every finished product. I love the ability to start the shaping and forming of the project. It's where I first start to see the true beauty of the wood and the possibilities start to run through my mind... the sanding is my next favorite. It's so hard to choose which one is my favorite!

@Bill Janke my ex husband and I use to make live edge furniture. We had a planer and it was by far my second favorite. It was amazing and I can't wait to add another one to my arsenal of tools. Along with my razor wood burner, of how I miss those two tools... some day maybe I'll have those again...

That is beautiful!! I once did a corner desk out of oak. I used cedar inlays on the drawer and edges of the desk. It was awesome. I love the way it almost turns into a glass like surface when it is sanded. I made a beautiful piece as a gift one time.It was a slice of a big cedar tree. I sanded it down and wood burned a few pictures into it. Then I put a couple layers of polyurethane on it. They loved it and I almost didn't want to get rid of it when it was done. lol Very amazing wood to work with!!!

My ex husband and I had our own business making beautiful wood creations. Most of what we did was live edge furniture. We made custom bedroom sets.
