🚫 AI and Copyright: The Bottom Line
A user recently asked: "I used Mystic to create a design with a famous cartoon character. Is it still subject for copyright?" 🤔 The answer is simple: Yes ✅ Mystic is a powerful tool, but it doesn't change copyright law. The original creator of that character, slogan, or logo still holds the rights. When Mystic generates a design based on that prompt, it is creating a derivative work, and selling that without permission is still infringement and the rules of intellectual property still apply. To protect your store from legal issues and platform bans, always stick to original designs you've created yourself or content you have a license to use. What's a copyright or trademark mistake you've seen new sellers make? Share it below so we can all learn from it.

@Betty A I couldn't agree more! You're right! AI doesn't change copyright law, and we're all responsible for doing our research. Thank you for helping everyone stay safe. It's posts like these that make a real difference. 💗
🛒 Is Your Store Accessible to Everyone?
One thing often ignored in eCommerce and POD is accessibility. Think about it, if someone has a disability, can they easily shop from your Shopify store? Many stores face issues like: Visual impairments Motor difficulties Cognitive challenges This isn’t just a design problem, it’s the difference between inclusion and exclusion. And ignoring it doesn’t only feel unfair, it can even create legal risks. I believe it’s time we start a serious conversation around this. Why not let our Skool community take the lead by creating a simple guide or short video showing store owners how to make their stores more accessible? That way, we can support more customers and prove ourselves as ethical entrepreneurs. What do you think, should we s tart this together?

You're right—accessibility is often an afterthought in the POD world, but it's a huge part of being successful. Your idea of the community taking the lead on this is fantastic. It's a perfect way for us to share knowledge and empower each other. 🚀

@Bogumila Majewska Good question! If your account is under the Scale plan, you get the opportunity to purchase 150 credits for $9 anytime. The extra credits work just like your regular monthly credits—you can use them to generate or remix designs and bring any idea to life. There are no limits or restrictions on how you use them. ☺️
Canva refused to work, FOUND THE SOLUTION
Just a bit of maybe helpful information, not necessarily POD related but it may help someone so I'm passing it along, I was having a major problem with Canva, it just refused to work. Over the past few years I had contracted Cataracts in both eyes so I have been using a 43 inch (1092 mm) television as my monitor. Cataracts have been corrected now but I got SO used to that screen with a ( Win 11 Recommended ) screen resolution set to 1600 x 900 that I simply left it that way. Canva doesn't like that at all, reduced resolution and Canva now works, just something to keep in mind if you happen to see anyone reporting Canva problems.

The work of the mundane
In the process of swapping over winning mock-up in my store, no wonder EVERYBODY says how it, well let’s be honest, kinda sucks. Time consuming and boring, but, the store is looking better and is more user friendly by the day. I do have a question, there are many color variants but to make a mock-up for everyone seems a little overkill. Meg in the coarse had like five or six of the most common colors. What’s the recommended amount? I have like 12 different colored shirts on my mock-up, should I only make those colors available on printify and my store?

Hi @Christopher Powers You're not alone, swapping out mockups is definitely one of the tedious parts of running a POD store, but you're spot on, it makes a huge difference in how a shop looks. Meg's advice is a great rule of thumb, and it's a strategy many top sellers use. Offering too many color options can actually overwhelm customers. The recommended amount is 5-6 of the most common, best-selling colors. These are almost always black, white, navy, asphalt/dark heather, and a sports grey or heather grey. You can always add a few niche colors for specific designs that would look good on them, but for the majority of your products, sticking to the main best-sellers is a smart business move. Good luck!
