💭 Just another day as a Turo host cleaning and delivering whips 🚗 🧽 I prep’d my ‘18 Hyundai Elantra for a 6-day trip… 📸 Took good photos 🔢 Verified the guest & sent the code 🎬 Mission complete and await the return… 🕗 The guest is about 8-hours away and two days before the return she has fraudulent bank activity and her account is locked 🔐 ✍🏾 She requests an extension until the issue is resolved so she access her money and return 🤷🏾‍♂️ 🚫 The extension was reversed/declined and she didn’t have money to return 😳 👻 Then she begin ghosting me and Turo support ⏳ I had to wait 24-hrs & reported the vehicle stolen through Turo 👊🏾 Turo Vehicle Theft Team jumped on the Turo messages between me and the guest 🥊 and went str8 OG!!!! I was impressed….😏 😱 The guest responded by saying she’s speaking with Turo support for assistant—which the Vehicle Investigator replied—“Turo support can’t help you…this is my case now.” 🫢🫣😲 ⏰ The guest begin the trip home about an hour later… 🤷🏾‍♂️ what all the investigators said on the phone but the messages I read—was enough!!! 📲 AND the investigator handled my ENTIRE reimbursement process….all I needed to send were pics. 🧾The investigator threw the book 📕 Only thing is missing is $150 coming fee but surprisingly the car was pretty clean. 😕 If you’re worried about a stolen car ⁉️ DON’T

I walked around my town yesterday and went into a few stores. There were a couple of them that I looked around and within the first 5 seconds I thought, “ I don’t make enough to breathe this air” and walked out. I don’t want to feel like this any longer. This is a big reason why I am here. I need to change this mindset. You are all worthy of being in any store and once all the steps get in place, we can. Alright so I was thinking. The goal of a lot of people that list cars on Turo is to get into private rental, but one of the challenges with private rental is making sure you're renting to the right client. The reality of that is, who knows, people that appear to be great could trash the car and vice versa. So... It got me thinking there has to be a company out there that makes it easy to do a soft pull on someone. Something like private rentals are essentially what soft pulls are for. It could be incorporated into the online rental contract. It could assist in vetting the client without the need for that personal relationship. (side note-if someone did have borderline credit, they could be referred to the group to get it cleaned up and get a kickback through an affiliate program. So that host could be making money twice.) I don't know if this is helpful just a thought I had
