👋 Qathet ACE Monthly IRL Meet-Up – Join Us! 🐾
Calling all ACE Adventure Canine partners in Qathet! We’re kicking off a regular monthly IRL (In Real Life) meetup for dogs and their humans — no structured training, just a casual stroll, socializing, and fun. 🌳🐕 📍 Location: Outside the dog park at Ash & Oak Street 📅 First Inaugural Meetup: Friday, September 26 at 4:00 PM 📅 Future Dates: Last Friday of every month — October, November 2025, and 2026 dates TBD Guidelines for a successful meetup: - No dog greetings unless all humans and dogs agree ✅ - Other guidelines will be posted at each meetup ✅ - Aim for every dog and human to have a positive experience 💚 Route: Around the historic town site, beginning and ending at the dog park (or finishing at the townsite brewery for those who’d like a little extra treat!) This is a relaxed, in-person gathering — a chance to meet fellow ACE members, let your dogs explore new sights and smells, and enjoy a friendly stroll together. Drop a comment if you’re planning to join! Can’t wait to see you and your paw partners IRL. 🐾

We usually take Tilly to the park around then since it’s pretty empty around then! Not sure if she’ll want to do a walk outside the park but we’ll give it a try!
👇START HERE‼️ Welcome & Intros Hooman and Canine Adventurers!
Hellooooo! Arroooooo! Welcome and Wags! We’re so glad you made it. 🥾🐶 ACE is your basecamp for learning everything adventure canine and connecting with fellow dog lovers who want to explore the outdoors side by side with their dogs. Whether you're training for big hikes, wandering local trails, training your puppy, working through behaviour challenges, or just dreaming of future adventures, you're in the right place. 🧭 Start at the start -- like a trailhead kiosk.📍 Before you jump into the comments, complete the "Start Here" module in the Classroom. It's like checking the kiosk at a trailhead or calibrating your compass. You'll get a quick tour of how things work here (hint: it's as fun and simple as a dog's life) 🎒 Head to the "Trailhead Kiosk" and then come back here. ✅ Done that? Awesome! Now take your first step onto the trail and introduce yourself below ⬇️ We want to meet you! ✨ Your name & where you’re from 🐶 Your dog (or your dream adventure dog!) 🌲 Your favourite outdoor activity together 💛 One thing you love about your dog 🪄 One thing you’d change if you had a magic wand 📸 Bonus: Add a photo or GIF of your pup! 💚 How We Roll We support only humane, reward-based, and kind training methods. Discussions should reflect empathy, curiosity, and science-backed approaches. ✨ Kindness goes a long way — for both dogs and humans. Posts promoting punishment-based methods or tools will be removed. Let’s make this a place where you want to come back to again and again ... like your favourite hike when the wildflowers are in bloom, or the desert at sunset, or .... Side by side. Paw in Hand. Nice to meet everyone! I’m Danny from Powell River, BC. Our dog Tilly is an almost 9-month-old golden retriever with a soft spot for our toddler and a real talent for stealing socks. She’s a classic goofy golden, smart but always doing something ridiculous. We do lots of trail walks as a family, usually with her on a leash since her recall sits around 80%, maybe 95% if my wife’s the one calling. She loves the water of course so maybe we’ll try dock diving! We just need to find a dock.
