Introduction
Hi, I’m Daniel! Hi my name is Daniel Jefferson. I live in Philadelphia, PA and I plan on making $8,000 per month dispatching trucks. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1. Obtain knowledge about truck dispatching.  2.  Steps I need to take in starting a business. 3. And learn how to network within this community and the trucking industry as a whole. For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1. I like reading.  2. Gaming.  3. And dining out.

@Chris Medlock Thanks for welcoming me. You've been here long? How's your journey been so far?
Some important details when starting a business.
Hello everyone👏🏻, I've been compiling some of the most important notes Gill provided in the training course, especially regarding the initial steps. However, some details caught my attention concerning starting operations that some of you might overlook, so I decided to share them with you here: 1) Verifying our company's location. 2) Ensuring the carrier has service hours. 3) Checking the driver and the client. 4) Weather conditions are also important on the main route. 5) Complying with our transportation company's rules. 6) The importance of understanding the freight booking strategy in advance. And also some general notes: 1) The importance of the product/service offering you provide. 2) Understanding the customer avatar. 3) The importance of explaining your service to the company (showing the difference - the uniqueness). 4) Focusing on market needs. 5) Understanding company preferences. 6) Understanding the Department of Transportation (DOT) rules. 7) Determining the cargo weight according to the type of truck. I hope this is helpful to everyone. And if there are any opinions or additions, please don't hesitate to share them.👍🏻

The answer to your first question, yes I've dealt with dispatchers the whole time I've been driving trucks. You have some that'll try to take advantage of you by trying to keep the driver out as long as they can. Then you have some that takes the drivers home time very seriously. As far as starting off. I do think that having trucking experience gives you an advantage. But it's not required in my opinion. There many books and courses such as this one that can teach you about the dispatching business. If you interact with the group, you will find that there are many people who never drove a truck but are very successful in the dispatching business.

Welcome Zach. Im new here too.
Hello! One of the "Good Guys".
Hello Everyone! My name is John. I am from Lago Vista, TX, which is about 45 minutes from Austin, Texas. I am planning on making $10,000 a month or more as a dispatcher. I am a medically retired driver who never ever thought he would join the OTHER side of the trucking business. One of my BIG goals with this is to become one of the good guys, the good dispatchers that strive hard to never just leave drivers hanging out there. I can remember times I even yelled and argued with dispatchers. I want to be one of the GOOD dispatchers on the driver's side, helping drivers out there working hard! I am making this my mission to make this work for all of them because I know what it's like. My job, My MISSION, will be to take care of drivers! I know what its like to be in another state and thinking, "Oh they are having it so easy sitting in their cushy office while we are out here busting our tail!". "They are commanding from their cushy offices.". All the while I was going through it the same as other drivers out there on the roads. Now I get to finally see the other side of the coin for a change. I started out as a flatbed driver. I want to get these 3 things from this course/community: 1.  Learn and apply ways of getting carriers 2.  Learn how to book loads and negotiate with brokers 3. Learn how to build my dispatching service For fun I like to do these 3 things: 1.  Spend time with family 2. Cinema and Movies 3. Write "Aspiring Author."

Im on the same mission as you brother. I've been a company driver and owner operator for the past 9 years and counting. I hope to start a dispatching business that's catered to keeping the drivers happy.
