@Sheila Bristow thank you for sharing, Sheila! Your website is fantastic! I just clicked on some articles and can't wait to dive deeper! I also love that quote Debby pointed out! 💖 It caught my eye for sure, I've never heard it before either 😊

The Bravery Log: Where Comfort Zones Go to Die
It’s time to get uncomfortable... in a good way. I want you to do something that scares you - each week-then come back here and tell us all about it. Why? Because your personal growth lives between your "I can't" and "I just did." Maybe you'll finally tell your boss their idea needs work. Maybe you'll sign up for that improv class that's been haunting your browser history. Maybe you'll eat alone at a restaurant without pretending to text someone. Whatever makes your heart do that weird skippy thing – that's your target. Drop your stories below. Did you soar? Did you crash and burn spectacularly? Perfect. Both are welcome here. Remember: embarrassment is just spicy wisdom.

Hello, beautiful souls! 👋🏻 I've been a bit quiet in here lately, but I’m back and ready to dive in again! Life has been a lot, and I needed to take a step back for a bit. My brave moment last week was finally deciding to write a victim impact statement for my ex-partner’s hearing. I didn’t attend, but writing it—reliving everything—took a lot out of me. It was heavy, and I honestly didn’t want to dig it all back up. But I knew that my voice mattered. That my experience and my feelings deserved to be acknowledged. So I did it. And while it was incredibly hard, I also feel like it was a step toward reclaiming my power. My brave moment this week has been something different—choosing to rest. Even though my to-do list is endless, and guilt tries to creep in every time I prioritize myself, I’ve been listening to my body. Slowing down when I need to. It’s uncomfortable, but I know deep down that rest isn’t something to earn—it’s something we all deserve. Excited to jump back into everything happening in here! 🥰💖
Why you should write that book, make that artwork, create that song
If there’s something creative inside you—a book, a painting, a song—just get it out there. Forget about going viral or getting awards. Who cares? Do it because it's something you need to do for yourself. Not for the world. You're creating for you. And that's not some bullshit consolation prize. It's the whole point. Most people have it backwards. They think external validation is the goal. But your creative work isn't valuable because others applaud it. It's valuable because it transforms you. When you pour your thoughts, emotions, and perspectives into something tangible, you're essentially having a conversation with yourself. And that conversation is necessary for your psychological well-being. It's how you process trauma, understand your experiences, and make sense of our existence. Creating is a form of self-therapy It helps you to strengthen your inner voice, confront your demons, and build resilience through expression. The act of creation changes your brain chemistry. It helps you process emotions, gain clarity, and find meaning. These are valuable outcomes regardless of whether anyone else ever experiences your work. And here's the ironic twist: When you create primarily for yourself—with honesty, vulnerability, and zero f*cks given about external approval—you often end up making something that resonates with others anyway. Not because you tried to please people, but because authentic expression has a way of connecting with other humans who share your struggles. So if someone happens to connect with your work, that's awesome—a bonus round in the game of life. But don't make that your metric for success. That's putting your self-worth in the hands of strangers who are just as confused about life as you are. Create because you need to. Create because it helps you make sense of your existence. Create because it makes you feel alive in a world designed to numb you. That's enough of a reason. That's always been enough of a reason. The world might not need your art.

I love that first Mark Twain quote too! I've been thinking about that, regretting the things I didn't do and what I can change going forward 😊 I'm also a huge quote fan, as my bulletin board shows 🤣 I have a million quotes and affirmations all over my house 😍 My oldest son is now writing positive things on sticky notes and leaving them all over to surprise me 🥰 I've also been really into "Just do the next right thing" 💖 it's attributed to several different authors as it's such an excellent idea! I'm often overwhelmed so reminding myself to break things down and just take the next step has been very helpful 😊 Just do it. Just one step 💜

@Liz Florentino I love this! ❤️
I Will Always Love You
Hi everyone! Karen's question asking us if there is something creative inside us sparked a memory for me! I am someone who never believed I had any creativity in me - until something changed in my understanding of myself and then I was able to tap into my creativity. With Karen's permission, I would like to share a 4 minute video of a story about hope and love in the midst of grief. If you are interested, please take a peek. The illustrations and messages are intended for the child in each of us. I am sharing with you with the intention of healing only - meaning - the last few seconds of the video are not meant for our group. 💗 Video Link: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Auj1S1woTEAZi5pm5m3G8PEB1gLELw?e=m60DhS
