I grew 16 1020 trays in my first attempt to grow microgreens. I got all my seeds at True Leaf Market This is what I grew: Basic Salad Mix - 4 trays - Seeded .6 oz - 4 oz harvest weight per tray - I did have some issues with the fan, so this should be closer to 5+ oz. Pea - Speckled - 3 trays - Seeded 10 oz (soaked 8 hours) - 9 to 12 oz - I was hoping my yields would be higher. I realized after that I may have seeded these at too high a rate. Radish - Triton Purple - 2 trays - Seeded 1 oz - 12 oz - I harvested these at 8 days after seeding. They grew terrifically. I realized after I should have seeded them at 1.5 oz. Sunflower - Black Oil - 3 trays - Seeded 9 oz (soaked 8 hours) - 13 to 15 oz - I was hoping for a higher yield. Broccoli - Waltham 29 - 4 trays - Seeded .5 oz - 3 oz - I realized after that I should have seeded them at 1 oz per tray.

I started my seeds on the 17th and 18 (waited to start because of need to soak). 4 trays of Broccoli 4 trays of Basic Salad Mix 2 trays of Radish 3 trays of Sunflower - soaked for 8 hours 3 trays of Speckled peas - soaked for 8 hours I added a little perlite on top of the seeds to try and stop them from sticking to the trays above when I stacked them. I put them under the light today. I sprayed them with my spray bottle for a quick top water and then bottom watered them all. I did end up dropping a tray on the bottom rack. It was pretty frustrating! How do they look? Any suggestions?

Hey friends, wow what an awesome resource! I’m excited to explore this and to have found a growing community (thank you to those who took the time and energy to put this together). A little about myself, I’ve recently outfitted one of my bedrooms to be a grow room for Microgreens and gourmet mushrooms. I’ve been growing things for many years and relatively recently got the itch to grow Microgreens on a larger scale. I’m looking forward to providing my community with a delicious super food as well as myself. I’m grateful to have found this community 🤙 looking forward to learning together and sharing our experiences. I’m located in south Florida, Delray Beach I’m a biomedical engineer and farm enthusiast I love music and art I’m growing 13 varieties of Microgreens and my favorite is split pea I’m an artist, entrepreneur, and business owner 🤙

Yes, I have plants growing on my bottom "grow" shelf! I'm getting ready to re-do my lights and shelves... but will keep the growing happening while I update lights and shelves! I should have labels delivered today and plan on getting some samples out! Business FB group is set up... Need to focus on website now! I already have my business license, logo, getting labels set up. Need to get insurance. Anybody else have insurance yet? What do we need? And where do you have insurance through?
