The Reality of Addiction Summit
The Reality of Addiction Summit- what time does it start and end? anyone know?
I think I’m still flabbergasted after reading this
I was just scrolling social media because there’s a huge storm outside and I’m trying to have a restful afternoon when I came across the post below. I gasped, loudly. So much so that my dog came in to check if I was OK.. What’s your first reaction when you see this?

This actually resonates with me. I’ve been in therapy for about 30 years, done groups, and explored many different forms of healing, learning, and working with different healers. So I’m not new to this work. What I’ve noticed is that AI has supported me in a different way. It lets me process things in real time, ask questions as they come up, and start seeing patterns without feeling rushed or limited by time. In those moments of self-discovery and deeper dives, it’s honestly been a gift. At the same time, I still value therapy. It offers a real human connection and a space to work things through in relationship, which matters. I also don’t just agree with everything AI says — I have a mind of my own, and I stay grounded in that. For me, it’s not about replacing one with the other. It’s about using both in a way that deepens the work overall.

I agree — accountability matters. Trauma may explain behaviour, but it does not excuse harm. From what I’ve seen, a lot of people are operating without awareness of their nervous system or how to regulate it, and that plays a big role.
WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEW COURSE TODAY!
Happy Monday! We are so excited about this new course today that we can barely contain it this morning before it’s even ready to launch We had to tell you all about it.!!!! This course explores the presentation of dissociative identity disorder among individuals with substance use disorders. Participants examine how dissociation, identity fragmentation, and trauma histories can complicate assessment, treatment planning, and recovery processes. The course highlights clinical considerations that support safety, stabilization, and coordinated, trauma-informed care. Watch your inbox for an email from your certification board today regarding this new course and how to sign up! You can’t miss this! And stay tuned for more new courses, some of them are even gonna be live online teachings, which we are so excited about to see all your faces soon!
