State Three | The Flamekeeper
"I know so much about myself. I've done so much work. So why does my mind still feel this loud?" This one is close to my heart, because I lived here for a long time. The Manomaya Kosha is the mind layer... the seat of thought, analysis, self-reflection, and that very particular kind of exhaustion that comes from being highly self-aware. The Flamekeeper has usually done a lot of inner work. You understand your patterns. You've sat with hard things. You show up for yourself, for others, with real presence and real effort. And still, there is this. The mental noise that doesn't fully quiet. The inner voice that keeps weighing, measuring, wondering if you're doing enough, being enough, resting correctly even while you're trying to rest. The beautiful and slightly maddening thing about this layer is that the very intelligence that helps you grow can also be the thing that makes it hard to land. There comes a point where the most profound thing you can do is let the mind loosen its grip, even briefly, and discover that something deeper has been here waiting. That's what this work is really about. Recognizing yourself in this state takes a lot of the pressure off. You stop trying to think your way into peace and start giving yourself permission to actually experience it. Even a single Yoga Nidra practice can show you what it feels like to move beneath the noise, and once you've felt that, something starts to re-organise. The mind becomes a collaborator rather than a critic. Now, let's let you rest inside that understanding. ✧

This is so accurate, it made me laugh. Thank you for sharing this. Reading, and understanding this, I feel understood. Now mind is wondering how to integrate and experience....

@Ayla Nova amazing!
Some say I'm a dreamer...
But I'm not the only one... I like to imagine a world where we’re living, moment by moment, in our own bodies. Because the world we experience is shaped by the state we live from. I created a Yoga Nidra for a World of Peace…so that, together, we can begin to embody that energy within ourselves and ripple it outward. This practice is a space to remember what it feels like to feel safe… to breathe… to be… just as you are. If you feel that same vision in you, you’re not alone. You’re welcome to step into the practice with me inside the ✧☽ Nova Nidra Vault. ⇒ ONE HOUR | Nova Nidra for a World of Peace A space of ongoing Yoga Nidra practices, live gatherings, and a growing library to return to when you need it. If it calls to you, you can join as a VIP supporter.

When I was in San Pancho, Mexico, I got into a little routine. SHARE your morning routine below! Wake up before sunrise. Walk down to the ocean with @Laura Rose Sit with the waves for a while before the world woke up. One morning, I realized… this would be the perfect sound for a Yoga Nidra. So I recorded the waves you hear in the Pisces practice (in the Pisces season... like come on how perfect) right there at dawn. There’s something about the rhythm of the ocean that just naturally slows the nervous system down. It reminds us that we don’t have to fix or figure out everything… We can simply observe the tides moving through. Very VERY Pisces.... hey @Thomas Scheppat and @Arno Koch !? The little prayer I placed into this practice is simple: that you feel complete and whole just as you are. If you listen, come back and tell me how it lands for you. And if you feel like giving it a little love on YouTube (comment + like), that tiny gesture really does help the practice reach more people who might need it. Also… send it to your ocean lover firends and Pisces humans 🐟 Nova Nidra Supporters | Listen Here Free Members | YouTube

7-Days to Re-Align
over the next seven days, I’m going to be taking some time to rest & restore and would love your insights, but first, a little update. i was invited, somewhat last minute, to guide a yoga nidra practice at a beautiful women’s retreat. with everything moving through my heart lately, it felt like A FULL-BODY soul-aligned ‘YES’. while i’m there, i’ll be turning inward. listening. gathering inspiration. allowing space for what wants to emerge next for this community and beyond. you may not hear from me quite as much over the next few days. and i trust you. this space continues because you continue. in the meantime, i gently suggest revisiting the seven-day REST & RESTORE chakra series. move through it slowly. choose the one that calls to you. or begin again from the root and journey upward. and here’s something i’d love to invite… If you were to attend a retreat designed exactly for you… what would it include? more silence? nature walks? deep conversation? long yoga nidras? nervous system workshops? journaling by candlelight? share with me below. i’m listening 😉😉 Connect with you all again soon!

Enjoy your time away, Ayla ❤️ For me, a perfect retreat would include a lot of silence, gentle Yoga or movement, a couple of Yoga nidra sessions a day, meditation, time in nature or by the water to ground, journaling sessions, and healthy organic food. A gentle routine with some free time to integrate and relax 🌟
