Hey Guys, I started following Keith Feb 1st I have been trying to be consistent following Keith’s exercise program. It takes time and hard work. But I am seeing results, my wife sees it to. It’s worth it!

@Keith Hanenian Esq I believe I was motivated to see that I was able to build muscle and get in good shape even at my age of 67. It feels good to have energy and be stronger even at this time in my life.
What pulled you back in?
Let me ask you something honest. When you fell off before, and most of us have, what actually pulled you back? Not the advice. Not the motivation. Not the right video. What was the moment? Because I've noticed something with the guys who stick with this long-term: they all had a moment. A doctor visit. A photo. A morning where they couldn't do something they used to do without thinking. The discipline came after the decision. Not before. What pulled you back in?

Seeing people my age or older who walked slow into the supermarket. Using a walker or limping along. Realizing if I did not do something I could be like that.

@Carsten Breum we were created to exercise our minds, our bodies, and our spirit. We were built to move. Sorry about your mom. I wish you the best on your exercising.
Quick one for you guys
Quick one for you guys, and I want your feedback after you try it. When you're doing any pressing exercise, chest, shoulder, doesn't matter , most guys stop thinking the second they pick up the weight. They're counting reps. They're watching the clock. They're in their head about what comes next. Here's what I want you to do instead: Before you even touch the weight, place your hands together in front of your chest and press hard for 5 seconds. Feel that? That squeeze in your pecs, that's the connection you need to be chasing on every single rep. Your muscle doesn't know how much weight you're lifting. It knows whether you're connected to it or not. Try this before your next chest or shoulder session and tell me what you notice. Yes, you can quickly feel it. I have been working at the mind muscle connection. You’re right Keith when we were younger we weren’t taught that. It takes concentration It’s easy to pass by it. Thanks for bringing that home to us

@Edward Plain Thanks Ed for the encouragement! It can be a struggle at times to keep working out, but it’s worth it. It takes time and patience, but it’s worth it in the long run. It’s a habit. It takes a long time to kick in.

Lower Back
Hi Keith. What exercises would recommend for the lower back?

I just wanted to make sure that I was fortifying my back so I don’t get injured when I lift. To make sure I equally exercise my lower as well as my upper back.
