Smart-Casual OOTD For University
I recently saw a post here with a similar concept of combining dark jeans with a light beige sport coat. As today is the warmest day of the week, I decided to grab my favorite jacket and create my own version of the outfit for today's lecture. I love using ChatGPT to create concept illustrations (3rd photo) which I can then recreate with my wardrobe. I was thinking of putting on a tie, but went for a neckerchief instead as it seemed more casual. Though I really wanna start implementing ties into my everyday casual wear. I also wore my black loafers which I purchased at the beginning of summer, as well as yellow socks. Would love to hear your thoughts 🙌

@Michael McDonnell Good point, thanks for the feedback! The scarf is quite short, so if I were to unbutton the sweater more, theres a risk of it flying out 😅 I agree with you though.
10/07 FINALLY BACK TO WEARING DENIM
The temperature has finally gotten low enough to wear dark-washed denim. Although those strongly loyal to the golden age of menswear might get angry, I am a fan of pairing the most formal style of jeans with relatively casual odd-jackets. I believe it’s totally appropriate and within contemporary classic style unlike t-shirt and odd-jacket or suit and sneakers. P.S. The jeans are slightly long. I know! Thanks. Verri beige Jacket. Burgundy Tie Navy & Khaki Mircropatterns. Turnbull & Asser Winchester Shirt Red & Blue Stripes. Burgundy Pocket Square Blue & Beige Paisley. Dark Blue Jeans Khaki & Navy Shadow-stripped Socks. Johnston & Murphy Burgundy Wingtip Oxfords. ↑Khaki Shoelaces.

Love everything about this outfit, but the jeans are way too slim IMO. The jacket is perfect, has the perfect length - but it visually drowns the tapered jeans. Really consider trying a wider pair. Proportions would be much better. And where's that umbrella from? Looks beautiful. I've been looking for a high quality one.
Suspenders
Good evening gents, I've recently been looking for some suspenders (or braces, if you will) to match my wardrobe, but not have a boring design. Ended up ordering these from a german tailor house, handmade in England. Absolutely love how they look over my striped OCBD shirt. It's really a shame we don't see men wearing suspenders that often anymore. What are your thoughts? Should we bring them back?

@Justin Dixon Definitely, I love belts. Recently got a very nice one from Suitsupply. But they can get repetitive after a while (just like anything), so its nice to have something different to add into the rotation 🙌

@Alex Kilpatrick yess hats! I feel like they're sort of making a comeback. I've seen quite a few men wearing a hat in the past few days. I still think though it'll take some time for young people to start wearing them instead of their nike baseball caps 😅
Transitional season fabric and colors
Although officially fall, our temps today are going from the present 66 degrees Fahrenheit up to 82 f. So I grabbed my cotton burgundy blazer and paired it with an olive tie and white with blue striped shirt, a pocket square with beige and blue and burgundy that pick up these colors, a pair of khakis, Pendleton socks, 1982 Cole Haan Waxhides and a 1940s Bulova watch. After my 6:30 church men’s group I ran out to my boat to deliver the re-sewn cushion zipper for the salon. Have a great day fellas
