But more than that—thank YOU guys for showing up. For three days you sharpened. Asked questions. Took notes. Had conversations. Did the work. The prizes are cool. But what you do with what you took from PATRIARCH matters a whole lot more. // The Summit is over. The work isn’t. x Rob

Yo! No way , thank you so much Man ! What a blessing .
PATRIARCH // IT IS FINISHED
Brothers. Three days. Nine men. One mission. We opened this morning with Steph Allen breaking apart the stories many of us inherited around money. Being broke does not make you more spiritual. Money is not the root of all evil. What God entrusts to you is something to steward. Something to build with. Something to give with. Something to use in service of your family and the Kingdom. And faith isn't sitting around waiting for God to do it for you. FAITH + WORKS. The strength of your faith isn't demonstrated by what you say. It's demonstrated by what you do. THEN WE STOPPED TALKING. And we breathed. For 40 minutes, we put down the notebooks, got out of our heads, regulated the nervous system and practiced actually becoming capable of responding instead of reacting. Because none of this matters if stress takes the wheel the moment your WIFE is struggling your children test you, the bank account gets tight, or life gets heavy. This work isn't a luxury anymore. It's a necessity. Non-negotiable. And then Mike Salemi brought PATRIARCH home with ZEN SAVAGE. Not becoming softer. Not becoming harder. Becoming FULL RANGE. The capacity for intensity, discipline, courage and decisive action — AND the capacity for stillness, sensitivity, presence and awareness. Power without presence consumes you. Presence without action is passivity. Jesus was the pinnacle Zen-Savage. He served. And he rested in The Father. Why do we believe that we're above that? All gas and no breaks. And that, brothers, closes PATRIARCH. For three days, these men gave you everything they had. Ryan. Pat. Nate. Me. Daniel. Gabe. Steph. Mike. And Matt's special contribution is still coming. But now? This belongs to you. Don't let PATRIARCH become another weekend where you heard some powerful sh/t, took some notes, felt inspired — and went back to exactly the same life Monday morning. Pick something. One conversation. One practice. One decision. One thing you heard this weekend that you KNOW is yours.

TODAY // ENTER
Brothers — today’s the day. PATRIARCH begins at 4 PM Central. Clear the distractions. Bring a notebook. Bring your questions. Bring something you’re actually willing to work on. Don’t watch this weekend. Enter it. WORK. Ryan, Pat, Nate and every man speaking this weekend aren’t coming here to perform for you. They’re coming to work with you. Ask the question. Raise your hand. Speak up, even if you’re embarrassed. We like to throw around that IRON SHARPENS IRON, but… If there’s no heat, there’s no change. 👇 ZOOM LINK https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89893586708?pwd=UYXDgUbxTI7acdWYIyZVnwaN9nvxp6.1 I’m pinning this post so you always know exactly where to go. FIELD NOTE 012 // COMFORT IS AN INCUBATOR FOR COMPROMISE
I didn't really know what I was going to talk about when I went LIVE this morning. I asked God to fill me with His Spirit and speak through me because I didn't know what I had for the guys today. But I did know one thing. There is something inside of you right now that you know you're being called to do. I don't know what yours is. Maybe it's saying something that might piss people off. Maybe it's showing up differently for your family. Maybe it's saying no to something at work so you can say yes to something at home. Maybe it's having the conversation with your wife that you've been avoiding. Maybe it's owning your shit. Maybe it's lovingly bringing something to her that needs to be brought into the light. Whatever it is, I imagine there's some hesitation there. Because doing it is uncomfortable. This morning in the Morning Watch, Dale dropped a line that stopped me. I immediately stood up and wrote it on my dry erase board: “Comfort is an incubator for compromise.” We usually think about compromise as something personal. I compromise on what I eat. I compromise on whether I train. I compromise on the porn I watch. I compromise on the standard I said I would hold. I compromise on whether I have the conversation or keep my mouth shut. But here's what I think we miss: Your compromises don't stop with you. Everything happening inside of you radiates outward into the space around you. Your wife lives in it. Your children live in it. The people you lead live in it. They're immersed in the consequences of the man you are becoming. Which means when I choose comfort over what I know is right, I'm not the only one who pays for it. And I think this gets directly into one of the great failures of men. We've heard endlessly about the cartoonishly "toxic" masculine man. The aggressive man. The domineering man. The dangerous man. I'm far more concerned right now with something quieter. The passive man. The man who sees what is happening and stands by.

for me , the work an the urgency of pursuit has been a comfort for me . Comfort meaning a normal that I can escape into Z But the consequences of that are that my wife and children’s needs of my presence and intentionality are not being met as they should . I enjoy the feeling of going to war with my ambitions but I’m reminded of a line from the animal Steve Eckert , “take your armor off at the door “ My time management has become primarily consumed with projects , I know I need to adapt that back to their unconscious hours of the day . And be present
