not after a pitch. not off a sales call. there wasn't one. one of them wasn't paying me anything at the time. she was in the free community, she'd been there a while, and at some point she went looking for the payment link herself. that's the part nobody teaches, because it doesn't work as a tactic. yesterday i said September's theme is nobody's buying. this is the other half of it. when what you give someone actually changes something for them, paying you stops feeling like a cost. it starts feeling like the obvious next move. WHY MOST OF YOU DON'T ASK - you've done the hard bit. you started the community, you post, people show up, some of them even reply. - then someone asks how you make money from this, and you change the subject. - i know why. the selling you've seen modelled is horrible. WHAT YOU'VE BEEN SHOWN - fake countdown timers. - "only 3 spots left" when there are clearly not 3 spots left. - DMs that open with a compliment and pivot to a pitch in the second message. you don't want to be that. so you've decided you'd rather not sell at all. that's not a confidence problem. it's a model problem. selling means being clear about what you do, who it's for, and what it costs. and saying it out loud more than once. the discomfort comes from thinking you have to perform, and you don't. so that's September in Community Income Mastermind. offers that sound like you, prices you can say without flinching, and building the kind of room where people ask how they can pay you. ➡️ join Community Income Mastermind for $37/m until 1st Sep (going to be $97/m) with 7-day free trial. cancel anytime. p.s. this is post 5 in a series of 8. p.p.s. glad to have @Zena Ryder part of the CIM crew
