Anyone need support before Christmas?
I'm thinking December 13th could be a great day to have a group zoom and share tips on how to stay sane and healthy around traveling and family. Whatdya think?

Lots of new folks! Let's chat:
Answer one or both of these: What are you currently wanting to work on as far as your overall wellbeing, life etc? What are you excited about? Then - encourage someone else! Or ask them a deeper question. There's a gold mine of experience in that other person!

From Processed to Fresh
@Dana Andrews I hope this is ok, better late than never, I guess. Going from processed foods to fresh, home-cooked meals has honestly changed so much for me, both mentally and physically. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my digestion, I don’t feel as bloated, and even my joints don’t ache like they used to. The transition was actually easier than I thought because I’ve always loved using fresh ingredients and mixing up different flavours. Since making the change, I’ve lost 3 stone and I’m now working on my last 14 lb! 🥳 It’s amazing how much our food can affect not just how we look, but how we feel.

Stress isn't the villain
Research shows reframing stress as “energy” boosts performance. ⚡ Stress isn’t always a negative thing. Research from Stanford shows reframing stress as energy instead of danger boosts resilience and performance. Next time your heart races before a speech, tell yourself, ‘This is energy helping me perform.’ That simple reframe actually changes your body’s response to stress. How do you reframe stress? Have you ever used stress to your advantage?

@Candice Viero yes! All of this too. Each person is so unique in their being and circumstances. So for me, turning stress into a friend takes the fear out of it when I'm feeling anxious. If I am feeling a bit lower, then allowing myself a moment to feel the stress, then have compassion - it allows me to move forward and direct my energy elsewhere. There are other times when I need a mindset shift and to redirect my attention to gratitude. It is yes and all of this. Thank you for sharing these tools too. Great! I LOVE the idea of a decompression/brain break room. I feel like that's something Google or Zappos would do!

Your Brain and Time Management
🧠 Your Brain: The Ultimate Time-Warping Comedy Machine Imagine your brain as a slightly neurotic time management consultant who's had too much coffee. Every 90 minutes, it basically throws up its hands and says, "I'm DONE! No more productivity!" ⏱️🎢The 90-Minute Productivity Rollercoaster When you work beyond 90 minutes, your prefrontal cortex starts acting like a tired toddler: - Rational thinking? Nope. - Clear decisions? Not happening. - Stress hormones taking over? You betcha! 🏅Dopamine: The Brain's Sneaky Reward Dealer Your brain is basically a dopamine junkie that gives you a tiny celebration every time you complete a task. (Woo!) But here's the twist: scrolling Instagram for 20 minutes gives you the same reward hit as finishing a work project... BUT you didn’t get anything done! Now you have to still do the thing you were procrastinating on with a tinge of guilt. (Skip the scroll people!) Neuroscience: Where comedy meets complexity! Pro tip: Every 60 to 90 minutes of focus, set a timer and take a mental break. Do some breathing exercises, get up from the desk and stretch or simply stroll for 2 minutes. You'll come back to your tasks more refreshed mentally, physically and emotionally! Don't worry, I'm building out an entire module for time management to decrease stress and overwhelm so we can thrive, focus and produce - happily! More to come soon...

@Des Cooke isn't it funny? I like "dope dealer" was a little too on-the-nose haha So this worked. So your watch has a reminder for you? I have my apple watch rings that I look at, which is helpful

@Karen Vidgeon hahaha I totally get there! And yet, sometimes I can focus in on the same thing for hours. Haha
