How I used AI to create a tool that helps you on hills
How I used AI to build a tool that keeps you from "bonking" on the hills Runners know the drill: trying to maintain the same pace on uphills and flat sections is the quickest way to burn out and "bonk" (hit the wall) during a race. Expensive watches calculate pacing for specific hills like Garmin’s PacePro but not everyone owns one. What does it do? You enter the race name, the course link, and your target time. The tool: - Searches the web: finds elevation data online and only asks for a GPX file if it can't find it. - Calculates kilometer-by-kilometer pacing: helps you conserve energy on the uphills and recover on the downhills. - Generates a "pacing cheat sheet": ready to carry on your phone or stick on your arm. How did AI help behind the scenes? I explained the concept simply and refined it with the AI in stages: - Web search: searches for the course online and only requests a GPX file if data is missing. - Effort calculation: uses physiological rules to estimate how much to slow down. - Lightweight design: renders the terrain profile on screen and loads quickly on mobile. - Ready to use: comes with pre-saved races (like the São Silvestre). What did I learn from this? 1. Start with a real pain point: it was born from a runner's actual struggle, not a "tech fad." 2. Build in stages: first the course, then the calculations, then the UI. AI works better this way. 3. Validate during training: compare the suggested paces against your perceived effort before heading to the actual race.

I love this build! Starting with that pain point and then back solving is next level. I feel like it makes the world so much clearer. @Simon Burbidge did something similar where he took the pain point we had in the Sept most miles challenge and made a new app!
Meta Muse is Actually Legit
Meta and Zuck waited on this. They watched every other ai company experiment on how users interact with AI and then it built something that is actually useful. Muse is legit a personal assistant in your pocket. Connect it to everything and let Muse track your life. Here are my top 5 starter fitness + top 5 personal Muse prompts / use cases: Fitness 1) Connect in your Apple health + function health and have muse actively monitor your health on a daily basis 2) Tell it your racing and health goals and Muse will coach you to hit them 3) Have it research and monitor races so you can sign up automatically 4) Have it track your fitness trends to see any positive or negative trends in your fitness 5) Set it up to hunt deals and monitor prices on your favorite gear Life 1) The morning brief 2) Inbox triage 3) Race-weekend travel agent 4) Know what the season costs 5) Life admin on autopilot Check them all out here: https://www.skool.com/athlete-ai-community/classroom/c89bd042?md=482ee54eb7d24f4bbcb416e02882bfba Let me know what else you all come up with! @Jake Silvia Dude before last night I would have said Muse, but Grok Bot was super impressive. And then ChatGpt just released Dots.... and I think Anthropic just fell out of first place in a matter of a week 😂 The fact that Muse is giving away billions of credits for literally free right now, it might have the slight nod in my book haha Have you experimented with any of them yet?

@Néviton Fritzen I've got to my grok bot set-up. Any guidance on best practices or solid use cases?
Anyone down? October Most Miles Challenge
Hey squad! With the September Most Miles Challenge wrapping up next week, wanted to propose to the group to see who would want to run it back for October? It's been super fun to track and follow people as they train! Some folks are putting up serious effort! One of the challenges that we faced with this challenge, as some of you know, is that there really isn't a good way to create a challenge with different disciplines (we've been doing a lot of dumb manual calculations). Where you can actually weight each discipline to make the playing field even across Swimming, Biking, Running and Hiking. @Simon Burbidge actually went ahead and created an ios and android app to solve this exact problem! So we were thinking of running back the same challenge and trying out his new build. @Jake Silvia I know that you mentioned you were working on something similar too. Maybe you and Simon can connect and share ideas! Fill out the poll below if you are interested in an October version of most miles, but this time automated 😎. Kevin

Garmin + Muse Automation is sick
Happy Saturday AAC team! Been playing around more with Muse — wanted to see if it could one-shot my athlete OS dashboard straight from my Garmin connection…. and it did it. Did the entire thing in about 15 minutes, and built an always-on daily refresh so it updates every morning and sends me the insights. See guide here: https://www.skool.com/athlete-ai-community/classroom/c89bd042?md=298c57d5369a46a4b7c750798ad5bd07 This Muse agent is actually pretty wild. Let me know your thoughts. Kevin
