Well guess who I saw while digging around in my flower bed? A nice big juicy worm! 🪱 I left him where I found him and am gently stepping away from the bed for now. He’s workin’ and I don’t wanna smush him. I’ll be back, wormy. Pic is of worm in camo. I can’t even see him now 😂

Have you ever noticed that seeds not only look different from plant to plant but they can also form in different ways? I’ve been watching a mizuna lettuce go through its life cycle, admiring its beauty in each phase, and patiently waiting for it to “go to seed” so I can collect them and grow it all over again. I’ve never grown it before, so every step has been a discovery. “But where are the seeds?!” I keep asking my hubs. I was looking for something super tiny left after the cluster of petals fell off, but I didn’t see anything. Every few days I’d look and wonder wth am I missing, resigning myself to the eventual fact that I’d just buy another seedling instead. Then, this morning we saw it! Little pod-like growths that must be where the seeds are forming! I’m blown away 😂🥳🤓 Have you ever had a similar treasure hunt? Please share your story!
