Listening with new ears
Good evening ladies! I'm curious about your experience..... I was listening to a podcast today with 3 financial experts (all men unfortunately....but we are changing that). I was noticing that how I hear their advice has changed so much because of the Undependent Woman concepts. I have more discernment about what works and what doesn't. Especially for myself. I took pieces from each that I aligned with and threw out the stuff that I felt wasn't helpful or solid advice. The old me may have just followed their advice because well they're the "experts." Not anymore. You are becoming experts and I'm curious if you've noticed how you consume information regarding wealth and finances. What are you noticing? We like to say "you can't unlearn this stuff once you've heard it." I would predict that sometime in the not too distant future, you will be listening to something or reading something and realize....whoa....I'm different!

Yes, I remember when my husband Lloyd taught me the difference between markets and ownership, that's when things changed for me. Some financial people believe what they learn about markets, but don't really understand how financial tools work. You develop discernment when you know what we are learning in this group.

@Karen Saxe Yes, women were taught to listen to their husbands and not think for themselves. At first women were considered property and had no say in anything. Imagine what it must have been like living without having a say or an opinion about anything? That's how our mothers were raised. They couldn't teach us how to be wealthy when we had no say in it. If your husband was bad with money, you and your family struggled. It makes me proud that my girls have a say in what happens to them. Never take that for granted.
5 Day Wealth Challenge
Day 2: I appreciate the space to speak my resistance and fear. The power of being witnessed and supported is healing. The word Foundation! It is something I realized a while back I was missing. And now I realize I can look for small and maybe some innovative ways outside the box to create primary wealth to assist me in building a stable foundation. Thus having a greater sense of stability, safety and self empowerment. I wish I had had this information when I received my inheritance. It was small and I did put a roof over my head with it but it I had a do over I could have also invested in some other assets. Being in the energy of this mindset sovereign mindset is challenging the old limitations and images. I'm grateful.

Susan, you can do it. No matter where you are in the process. You can do it!

@Leslie Scotland-Stewart I agree. It is creepy
Today’s class
Great information presented. Powerful and insightful discussion. I am learning to have a whole new perspective, not just on wealth, but of myself and life in general. Thank you.

@Robin Helm Yes everyone benefits from sharing vulnerably
Have you invited anyone to join the group?
I love this community! The info that is is shared from Vickie and Leslie is life-changing. But, equally valuable are the comments and encouragement within the community. I love checking in each day, creating new posts/comments, and reading the experiences and support from others in our group. What makes this group exceptional is that each of us were invited because we were the "right person" to be part of the community. I just invited my friend, Jodi Wolgamuth. She would be great here. Do you know anyone who would fit in with us? Someone who is supportive of other women, not going to spout rhetoric (political or otherwise), and would benefit from becoming an Undependent Woman? If so, you can invite her with this link: https://www.skool.com/undependentwomen/about?ref=2f6c29f179ab408ba5f4fc5e7563b816
