Embrace the discomfort
Saw this at a place I was visiting today and thought I'd pass it on !! When trying something new, it's probably going to feel uncomfortable! Those are new neural connections being created so there is an actual physical discomfort that's happening. That's normal! Let's embrace the process :-) get aligned and then embrace the discomfort that comes along with the change!

Funsies Friday (A Toast/Roast for you)
Happy Friday, Empowered fam! @Bruno Militz and I were talking a bit over the past week and discussed the possibility of having a mix of positive and playful chaos for today, and here's a little prompt for today: 👉 Go ask your ChatGPT: • “Based on what you know about me, what’s one genuine compliment that truly fits?” • “Now give me a playful roast I can handle.” 😅 (I've also asked it for a brutal roast because I found it pretty darn accurate and helpful)--I love how it still has a positive spin to it even when it's trying to be sassy. Keep it 1–2 paragraphs max but if you want to make it longer that's okay. This is ALL in good fun. The roast part may help with some of our growing edges! :) Would love to see some of your results! No judgment, just some funsies! Let's have some fun. Aaaaaaaaaaaand for those who maybe don't want to use ChatGPT--maybe drop some of your favorite compliments that you've received and/or something that you know is a growing edge. :)

🌄What makes a great leader?
One of the things that I've been reflecting on the last few days has been leadership and the qualities of a great leader. Leadership is not always about titles or authority. It is about influence, integrity, and impact — guiding others toward a shared vision while bringing out the best in them. When thinking about qualities of a great leader, this is what first came to mind: ✨ Empathy: A great leader listens deeply and understands the needs, feelings, and perspectives of others. 🧭 Vision: They see the bigger picture and inspire others to move toward it with purpose and clarity. 🤝 Integrity: Their actions align with their values. People trust what they say because they live it. 🔥 Courage: They make difficult decisions, take responsibility, and stand firm in uncertainty. 🌱 Humility: True leaders know they do not have all the answers. They are open to feedback and growth. 💡 Empowerment: They lift others up, delegate wisely, and encourage independence rather than control. It seems like the greatest leadership I've seen has not been about perfection (though there is an aim for excellence!); it is about presence. It means showing up with authenticity, guiding through example, and being willing to learn alongside their team. I've been blessed with some great leaders in my life and some that left something to be desired. I've learned from all. Question to ponder: What quality do you think defines a great leader the most? Who do you consider a great leader and why?

@Georgiana D I think Vision and empowerment. True leaders have the ability to see more in their people than their people might see in themselves and then empower them to become more. Leaders need to have a vision for what they want to accomplish then realize that they can't get there on their own. Learn to lead yourself then teach and lead others. Ultimately become a leader of leaders. John C. Maxwell's The 5 levels of Leadership is an amazing book to illustrate how to become an effective leader.
