Do you live in an area with a hosepipe ban?
There are exceptions - check them out on your water company website. I found this on mine, so despite a hosepipe ban from tomorrow, where I live, I am able to continue to use a hosepipe if I wish.

As I don't watch TV or listen to state controlled media; how would I know of a hosepipe ban. Any the law of contract says that if the goods have to be measured in order to be ascertain the price, then transfer of ownership occurs at the measurement, eg petrol in your car. Therefore they can't tell not to use my own water in my own hosepipe. Probably too late for this year, but we need to address the geo-engineering that stopped it raining in the first place

Tomato 🍅 varieties
There are so many varieties to choose from. What are peoples preferences? Perhaps you have some suggestions Cherry type : Sungold F1 is probably my preference followed by Gardeners Delight Slicing type : Streak Sandwich This year I am trying Amish paste for the first time but unfortunately did not buy any sungold seeds in time.

@Allys Farmer thought it was a misspelling of tomatillo which is from Mexico although I have never tried it my brother likes them

@Mary Roach Marmande is a variety new to me. Great that they are heirloom so you can save the seeds

Vine hooks on raised beds
I had some vine hooks left from making Roman blinds,so put on the raised beds so I can attach wire netting to protect my strawberries from next door cat and birds,and maybe make into little tunnels if I can keep wind from blowing them away.

Great idea! How do you close the ends to stop the birds or a cat getting in. It's always next doors cat🐱

@Rae Stevens once the plants are established they are usually ok. It is annoying when the cat digs a hole and scratches out the young plants and smothers the others. I don't have any raised beds

Grow nutritious food
It’s time to grow like never before as this war rolls on and costs spiral I’d advise getting seeds compost to grow what you need 🙏 Let’s help fill the short falls in our food supply this year Thank you all for being here and caring x

@Jannyne Holmes The real seeds website has some useful information scroll down the menu past the varieties to find the section. You may have found that already. I recommend printing their seed packet templates. I have colour coded packets along biodynamic groupings. To make it easier to find the right one.

Daughter bought seeds for my garden.
Had a lovely present from my daughter ,she bought me some lovely seeds, so thoughtful of her. I can't see they are F1 ,but what I don't know if open pollination seeds. Maybe just grow and eat rather than save any seeds,what do you guys think.

Looking at the varieties in picture suggests most, if not all, are open pollenated. I had a look on their website but no info. Internet search on the variety will say F1 if they are
