I can’t believe that I hosted this event in 2019 with just 10 people in a conference room—and now, over 500 people from every part of the world are flying in to learn how to grow their businesses sustainably and ethically. Back then, if you would’ve told me this was coming, I would’ve laughed. I mean, there were only 10 people in the room! But I’m so glad the me who only had 10 people didn’t look at that small start and give up. She didn’t believe that 10 meant it was over. She believed that 10 meant there were thousands more on their way. And she was right. That’s why today, I can boldly say I know next year at Black Women Sell Live we’ll have 1,000 people. But more than that, I’m just grateful we didn’t quit when it was small. I want to talk to the person reading this who feels small right now. Maybe you think because you only have 100 people on your email list, you’ll never get to 100,000. Or because you’ve got just 1,000 followers, you’ll never reach 200,000 across platforms. Or because you only made $100—or $1,000—in your first year, you’ll never make millions. That is a lie. If you don’t give up, if you keep showing up and seeing yourself the right way, it will happen for you. But you’ve got to invest. Not just money—your time, your energy, your intentionality. Don’t buy into the lie that you have to pick one. 3️⃣ 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀. If you’re in grind mode, stop apologizing for it. Double down. You don’t owe anyone balance when it’s your building season. 4️⃣ 𝗕𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻. Ain’t no money worth your marriage. When you live by values, life becomes clearer. 5️⃣ 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝗯 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴. Check your beliefs about God, money, and worth. If they’re based on bad teaching, they’ll keep you broke and bitter. ✨ And this is a big one: 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦𝗡’𝗧 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗬 𝗬𝗢𝗨. I say that with my full chest. I don’t need to know how many times it didn’t work or how many times you weren’t chosen. You need a view of your past that fuels your future—𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀. Look, I don’t have space to share all my mistakes, failures, and disappointments, but one thing about it…𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁. And if you’re reading this, neither did you. 🙏 I’m praying for you. 💪 I’m rooting for you. And I want you to believe this with all your heart: there are so many beautiful days ahead of you. ✅ P.S. Y’all there were so many things that tried to stop this London trip. Flight delays. Team cancellations last minute costing me thousands. Family missing the flight. And more. But I still got on the flight. Handled the fires. And I’m looking forward to London. What’s wild is everything happened just a couple hours before this flight. But nothing was stopping me from coming to London. Dear God, I pray that London blows our minds in the best way. I pray that every expert who purchased a ticket gets 100 times more than what they came for. Thank you for your traveling graces and mercies. London, see you soon! I hate $10k unexpected expenses but I know it’s the cost of doing business and I always handle business so it is what it is. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that you’re built for this. Like, I’m really built for this.
