Your Body Has a Contract With You — Listen Up
Your Body Has a Contract With You — Listen UpHere are two key things to understand about your body and how it works with you: 1. You and your body have a contract. Your body will do what it needs to do — gain weight, lose weight, build muscle — if you do what you need to do for it. That means taking care of it properly. 2. Your stomach has its own contract too. If you ignore your stomach — starving it, depriving it of what it wants — you’re breaking that contract. That’s why some people struggle to lose or gain weight or build muscle. They’re not listening to their body’s signals. On the flip side, if you give your stomach too much of what it wants, you gain weight. It’s about balance. If you’re eating one meal a day and your stomach craves chicken and fries, then eat the chicken and fries until your stomach says, “Enough.” Then stop. Sounds simple, right? But most of us have been programmed to stuff ourselves without paying attention. Your stomach will tell you when it’s full if you just listen. But how? Stop scrolling on your phone while eating. Stop focusing on background noise or conversations. Look at your food, taste it, chew it, and pay attention. If your stomach says, “Stop,” then stop. If later it says, “More,” eat more. It’s like when you were a toddler — babies and toddlers eat based on their body’s signals. If they want milk, they want milk. If they want peas, they want peas. They listen to their bodies — why don’t we?Here’s a bigger picture truth: Animals on this earth are also here with contracts. Many cows, chickens, and others on your plate are contracted to serve a purpose, including being food. Some have different contracts — being rescued or living differently. Everything has consciousness. Everything comes with a contract. When you go against your body’s contract, or life’s contracts, problems arise. So, stop ignoring your body. Start listening. Respect the contract.
