Shoulda Warmed Up
Usually pre round warm up with my mobility stick or even a light workout has been my go-to over the last few months and my driver has never been better. Today... Not so much. & Now my lower back is also paying for it the next day. Understanding that a couple twists and turns, hammy stretches and 1 or 2 lunges is not going to get the blood pumping like you want to it for those first few holes (especially at my ripe age of 35) Young guns can probably get away with it for awhile but a quality warm up will always lead to a better start to your round. My driver never came together yesterday. Maybe 1 or 2 great drives out of 13ish very driveable holes. Slicing and diving, top city. This one video below was actually ok but still a miss hit right that never came back. I'll be creating a course for my go to warm ups, But also in WODs there are mobility and pre round workouts available with more to come. Cheers

When Everything Hurts...
Move. Wether it's soreness, achy from over doing it, or anything (except a true injury), moving your body will help you so much more than "taking it easy". Today k woke and up felt like a 18 wheeler ran over my lower back. Slept weird for 3 nights in a row. Too many shenanigans over the weekend. Lots of drinks consumed. So, after my client, I decided to hit this mobility routine (I'll post below) to actually FEEL better. So if you are not feeling it after a long weekend of golf or whatever it may be, just start your with this quick session and go from there. I'ma hit a VERY slow jog after it and be ready to attack the weights tomorrow. @Tylae Westervelt 🤮 this bad?
Power Finisher
Here's a lil something I cooked up to bed my workout with today. My power days incorporate a lot of jumping along with lifting. Contrast Training (A heavy lift followed by a plyo like in the video) is a great way to develop fast twitch fibers to really generate explosivness. Instead of focusing on weight, I focused on the height of the step/box this week. More range of motion to attack my legs differently. Then flipped the box for an aggressive, non step up box jump. 35lb Kbs 3-4 each side 3 box Jumps Give it a shot

Barbells & Birdies?
The Sauce In This Cookbook Barbells comes first because that is my expertise. Birdies is what we all are working towards. I want to teach everyone that barbells will do far more good than bad for your golf game. I've always loved barbells, Olympic lifts & functional fitness. As of the last 3 years I've really dug deep into proper program design, workout design, coaching and getting others to trust the process of hard work. I've added over 10lbs of muscle and feel better at 35 than I did at 25 in that time. All while adding distance off the tee and confidence over the ball. Less pain post rounds, out driving your buddies, hero shots that actually work... What more could you ask for? This is what I am bringing to the table for anyone who wants to get the fuck after it in the gym and have some good ass times on the course when they get out there. No one remembers that great lay up you had on the par 5 to birdie. Everyone remembers being on in 2. Let's Get It
