Let's pray. God I am standing in the gap today for every parent who is terrified of becoming their own parent. The ones who hear their mother's voice coming out of their mouth and it stops them cold. The ones who recognize their father's anger rising up in them and don't know how to stop it. The ones who swore they would never and then did. Father I am asking you to break every generational chain that has wrapped itself around this family line. I rebuke the spirit of repetition that says "this is just how we are." I rebuke the lie that says the cycle is too strong to break. I rebuke the assignment of the enemy that has been passed down through trauma, through silence, through abuse, through addiction, through abandonment generation after generation. I bind it. In the name of Jesus I bind every inherited spirit of rage, rejection, control, manipulation, shame, and fear. I cast it down. It does not get another generation. Father release the spirit of healing over every parent reading this. Give them new language. New responses. New patterns. Rewire what trauma broke. Let this be the generation that looks their children in the eye and says it stops here. Not in my home. Not through my hands. Not on my watch. The blood of Jesus covers this family line. Forward and backward. Past and future. In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏽

Your teenager either has thought about sex, is thinking about sex, has already had sex or has a friend who will expose them to it. I know that's hard to read. But the parent who refuses to acknowledge that reality is the parent whose teenager navigates it completely alone. And alone is dangerous. The church told us don't do it. Nobody told us what to do with the feelings. Nobody told us what healthy looks like. Nobody told us what to do if we already did it. Nobody told us how to come back from a mistake without shame destroying us. So we figured it out on our own. And a lot of us have scars from that. Your teenager does not have to repeat that. But it requires YOU to have the conversation. Not a one time birds and bees talk. An ongoing open door where sex, relationships, emotions, and consequences are not shameful topics they are life topics that you navigate together with God's word as the foundation. They need to know Sex is not dirty. It is sacred. And sacred things require boundaries. Consequences are real emotional, physical, spiritual. A mistake does not make them ruined. But wisdom is always better than regret. God's design for sex is not to limit them. It's to protect them. You are not their friend in this conversation. You are their parent.
