I admired what Hassan Naveed, stated on his post regarding, "being calm under pressure". I would like to know how to stay calm in any situation and not shut down, and or shout out. Thank you.
Through self awareness of the mind body connection.. Go into a high pressure situation and focus on how you feel. Then do it again and again with the intent to feel better each time. The more you do it, the easier it becomes 🙌
Hey Guys! I find that sometimes I talk to myself negatively, I catch myself and try to make it up but it happens a lot. So what are some ways you guys use positive self talk?
Being mindful like you are was the first step for me. It's great that you're making yourself aware. No changes can happen overnight but the more you are aware of the negative the easier it will be to change those thoughts to a positive thought. Many swear by writing down all the negative thoughts that come up throughout the day, then writing a positive reframe for them. It helps increase the awareness and anytime that negative thought comes up you already know how to reframe it. The more you do that the more naturally the reframe will come up first. At times I don't notice I'm doing it right away, but the moment I notice I say 'spiral detective' and it stops the loop. I also talk to myself like a parent to a child. My inner child appreciates the comfort and acceptance.
Welcome ! Red is my favorite color as well. I love to pair it with black, maybe a little white. That goes for clothes, decorations, anything lol I feel it brings out the color more. Do you like to pair red with any other colors?
