Welcome!
Why you don’t “attack” the play
If you look unreal in practice but disappear in games, this is why. Most players don’t “choke” because they lack confidence. They flip into a different setting the second pressure hits. I call it your Default Mode: the version of you that shows up automatically when your name gets called. Some players default to attack: “Give me the puck.” “I’m dangerous.” “I belong.” Others default to survival: “Keep it simple.” “Don’t be the reason.” Same skill. Different wiring. In my latest YouTube video, I break down how I think Macklin Celebrini keeps “attack mode” ON (even after mistakes) And the 3-step reset you can use mid-shift to stop the spiral and get your real game back. Watch it here → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnSOCFM3lIA - Corson P.S. If you’ve ever asked, “What version of me is showing up today?” this one’s for you. Want More? 1. @Ariel Yau I think I fixed it. Let me know if it's still doing that
Help
So I played a game against our rivals, 12UAA1. My team is the second team, 12UAA2. We’re mostly 2014s, with a few 2013s. They’re the exact opposite. 2013s with one or two 2014s Last time we played, we lost 3-2 This time, we lost 10-4 I played terrible. I got scored on three times in one shift My +- (plus minus) would’ve been a -5 or -6, if I hadn’t been on when one of my teammates scored a goal The one Im really frustrated about is how their player chipped it past my D partner, then he literally OUTSKATED me on a breakaway and scored I got really upset It made me think I’m really slow Like, that kid was NOT EVEN TOP 10 in fast skaters kn that team Yet he still beat me Then another player (no offense, but even slower than the other) TIED me in speed I know they were 2013s but I’m still really frustrated and I feel like I’m slow How do I stop thinking this, get faster, and regain my confidence?
