The classroom is growing! I appreciate you all and the input everyone contributes. 2026 is going to be a great year for you all and I hope I can contribute something to help the cause. I’d like to see how many people are still active on here. Just give this post a like if you’re seeing this and plan on fishing this spring.

Tournament Season is getting close!
Moyak and Bassmaster kayak series are the two trails I plan on mixing up in my schedule. I'll still be hitting a few local bass boat tournaments throughout the year with my dad and brothers here and there. What trails are you planning on fishing this year? What's your season opener?

@Lance Burris I ready for some heat!!
Tube or jig?
Personally I’d throw a tube before a jig. It comes through cover better but lacks the better hookup ratio when rigged weedless. What do you prefer?

My dad and I hit the Bass World Sports trail today on Lake of the Ozarks. We ended up a little out of the money overall with 13.53 but we managed a decent big bass and ended up cashing a check for $240 for second big bass at 4 and a half pounds. 14.70 took the last check and 16.90 won $1600 for first place and side pot. Full breakdown of how we caught them, what we caught them on, and the adjustments to the changing conditions throughout the day will be up on the Lake of the Ozarks, Break down section classroom soon.

I finally got out on the water to fish a tournament over the weekend. My brother and I had a good day, considering we didn't get any practice time and I hadn't been on the water in almost two months. The tournament paid out 6 places and the weights were stacked. We got 7th and big bass with a 6.42 and 17.04 five fish total. 7th place got us a free $160 entry for the next event and $420 for big bass. In the classroom, I'll post a full recap of the tournament, including what we caught them on, how we adjusted to the conditions throughout the day , and where we caught them on Lake of the Ozarks.
