Some work I did
I haven't been on here in a while because life has really been kicking me to the ground pretty much daily. I had some health conditions come up that forced me out of my last job a while back and I while trying to deal with recovering from a surgery and a bad fall that left me with longstanding injuries my wife decided it would be better for her if she dumped me and tried to take me for every penny possible on her way out so I have been just struggling to survive financially, physically, and mentally. I've lost just about everything I spent my entire life building in a very short period. A friend of mine knows I am trying to learn this trade and let me work on his truck. He backed into a power pole and did severe damage to his box side. He didn't want to put much money into it and I agreed to work on it rather cheap. Even though I didn't charge much beyond materials used this is my first job. He needed the truck back after a few hours I didn't have time to work on it more than I did. If I had a few more hours with it I could have done a little more but I don't think it turned out too bad considering his investment was minimal. I see a lot of vehicles in my area with damage like this and I think there could be a niche doing jobs like this where you get them back to about 90% at a fee that works for both parties. Maybe I am wrong about that but I am sure some people would be enticed by lower price point. The last two pics are after I worked on it.

@Dean Berman thank you, once the winter weather of the north breaks I plan on hitting things really hard.

Thank you. I can't wait to get started on my next one.
14 inch vs 20 inch 3 line lamp
Ordering a Elimadent V2 soon. My question is what are the advantages and disadvantages you have come across the one you have. To help my choice. Thanks yall.

If you have the money for the 20" I would get that. I got 14" on scratch and dent discount but someday I'll definitely go bigger
Ceramic coatings
So I have run into this issue a few times. What is the proper way to address a repair that has a ceramic coating over it when you need to glue pull?

Pretty much have to clean well with alcohol and if you can't replace it with what it is highly suggest that they have it redone in that area after the repair.
Micro gradual lows
My biggest struggle continues to be with finishing larger repairs. When I pull the light further away and step back, I struggle with picking up the micro low “wave” in the panel. I can barely see the flicker of light across the panel. If I move in to pick it up with a tool, I am not able to always pinpoint it because it is so shallow and small, I lose it on my approach. I know this is where I need to step up in my blending game, but I just can’t seem to do so all the time. 🤷‍♂️. Any thoughts??

I think this portion of a repair is where the good skills are learned. Most people with a little effort can accomplish to move a dent outward again but the last 10% is where skills truly shine. It isn't going to happen overnight. The more you work them the more you'll learn.
Tool ideas
Just curious if anyone has thought about modifying visegrips by cutting and welding for dents that have straight forward access like some hoods or fender wells? Walamrt has the HART visegrips that are only like $8 for the C clamp style and I am going extend them to about 18 or 20 inches and put pads on the ends that are about 1" x 1" with thin rubber. I would think that could be pretty efficient for adjusting pressures to conform the metal back into place on smaller dents. If it works out I'll post up some pics and make several varieties.
