What are you up to?
Today I took part in a parade in my home town. I was part of a dragon 😂 I usually sneak away and let my other friends run around 🤪 but there weren't enough people this time around so I had to do what I had to do 💪

✴️ #2 I watched this whole ad (from FortNine)
TLDR: FortNine made a brilliant marketing video that doesn't feel like marketing at all. Instead of pushing their leather key wrap, they spent 5 minutes explaining the fascinating science of why leather beats all synthetic materials - then Ryan literally got dragged on asphalt by a motorcycle while wearing each material to prove his point. The synthetic alternatives got destroyed, but the leather held up. The genius move: They only mention their product at the very end, after you've watched real crash testing and learned genuine materials science. By then, buying the key wrap feels like the logical conclusion, not a sales pitch. Result? The product sold out. The takeaway for other companies: Lead with education and curiosity, respect your audience's intelligence, and be willing to put your money (and skin) where your mouth is. People share educational content, not ads. ------------------------------------------------------ (Sponsored by me 😂 - you can support this community by using this affiliate link when starting your free 14-day Skool Trial. Thank you!) So I just watched this incredible video from FortNine, and I had to tell you about it because it's basically a masterclass in how to sell stuff without making people want to punch their screen. You know how most motorcycle gear companies just scream about their products being "THE BEST" and "MILITARY GRADE" and all that nonsense? Well, Ryan from FortNine took a completely different approach, and it's genius. ⚫ The Setup That Actually Makes You Care Instead of starting with "Hey, buy our leather key wrap," the guy opens with this fascinating question: Why can't 300 years of industrial innovation beat a piece of cow skin? Like, seriously, we've invented space-age materials, but leather is still the king of motorcycle gear. That immediately got me hooked because I genuinely wanted to know the answer. This is so much smarter than the usual "Our product is amazing because we say so" approach. He made me curious before he tried to sell me anything.

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez Everything you say here is excellent! Quite frankly, I am less interested in the ad than in your examination of it! I mean it. They have found their best salesman in YOU! And virtually every business could do the same — remember that arming their customers with a brand identity that they're proud to promote is infectious — and you tend to "sell out" of things. My only actual question for this marketing, is the final payoff... IT'S JUST FOR THE KEY WRAP? That's super underwhelming. I would have thought the close would end with a zillion products they have available in leather. (Coming from a guy who lives next door to the Home of Harley-Davidson.)

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez The stats on that video tell the tale… zillions of subs, likes, views. That’s a lot of educated consumer promoters!

Would you watch a 4 hour podcast on procrastination?
Yes? Well, here it is... 😂 You can watch it instead of doing those important things you were planning to do today 😉

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez It's actually just 5 hours of TikTok Doom Scrolling disguised as a podcast.

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez I was using a little shorthand here... trying to pair it down. I'll give it another shot to be more like your model. I wasn't really thinking about the video per se, but the key facets of what I need to accomplish to get them to take action. I will re-post. Thx. BTW, you can't hurt my feelinigs. Just say it. 🤣

@Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez DAY 3 REBOOT: (Instead)... 🏈 1. High school kickers all want to be the starter on the team - so they practice a lot by themselves, but often with improper mechanics - instead, they need guidance to kick the right way which will save them a lot of time and frustration, while improving their performance and success. 2. They all think if they could only make a 50 yard FG, they would be a good kicker - instead, they should work on becoming much more accurate at shorter distances. 3. They know that if they could kickoff into the end zone, they would help their team and gain outside attention - but it goes back to point #1 - they'll likely never reach that distance because of poor form - instead they need to get on a path toward success. One I can provide. 4. They want to kick at the next level (high school to college to pro). That's an outcome that they can't control and gets them thinking solely about themselves (Diva syndrome) - instead, they need to trust a process that will maximize their chances of helping their team right NOW, by building their skills one step at a time.
