Day 31/56 Your First 56 Days Challenge 🇺🇸
Today’s challenge is a little different: I want you to tell me a joke! This will also help you get ready for tomorrow’s live class with me, where we’re going to use jokes in English to work on vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency in a fun way. The joke I shared in today’s challenge was: Why was the picture sent to jail? Because it was framed. 😂😂😂😂 The joke is funny because “frame” has two meanings. A frame is what you put around a picture, but to frame someone also means to falsely make someone look guilty of a crime. So… the picture was literally framed AND supposedly framed for a crime. 😅 For your challenge, you have a few options: 🎥 Record a video telling the joke and explaining why it’s funny. OR Record a video telling the joke and explain the joke in writing. Make sure you check the script attached to this post for some ideas of what you can say. I also included some recommendations for places where you can find more jokes in English, including Google, YouTube, and even AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini. You can use the prompt from the challenge to find jokes that are short and easy to understand. And remember: don’t worry about finding the “perfect” joke. The goal is to practice your English, have fun, and challenge yourself to explain something in English. I can’t wait to see all your jokes! And I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow for our live session!

@Mackenzie Marino thanks for the comments. This is the first time I heard about the THE pronunciation; very interesting.
Day 14/56 Your First 56 Days Challenge
We’re already on Day 14, can you believe it?! Today we’re going to talk about something fun: something you love to read, watch, or listen to. I talked about my favorite book, but there are so many possibilities! Maybe you want to tell us about: - A book you couldn’t put down - A podcast you listen to all the time - A YouTube channel you’re obsessed with - Something you listen to while driving or working - Something that taught you something valuable - Something that simply makes you happy And seriously, I’m SO happy with the results I’m already seeing here in the community. I’m noticing people speaking with more confidence, taking more risks, and getting more comfortable expressing themselves in English. Keep going! You’re doing amazing! See you tomorrow for Day 15! 🇺🇸🗣️ Remember: Consistency today. Fluency tomorrow. Mackenzie

That consistency is what’s going to make the difference. 🫶🏼 🎥 TODAY’S CHALLENGE Today, your challenge is to talk about your last weekend. Remember, you MUST start your video with: “Hi, my name is ___, and I’m giving myself 56 days to speak English more confidently. Today is Day 7, and my challenge is to talk about my last weekend.” Then, just tell us what you did! Where did you go? Who were you with? What did you do? And remember: don’t worry about being perfect. Just speak. 🗣️ Make your mistakes, tell your story, and let us handle the corrections that need to be made. Keep showing up. I’m so proud of you!

Hi everyone, I'm super late for the party! I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. Been living in the US for the last 11 years thanks to my husband's former job. Proud mom of two, I went back to work after a long sabbatical taking care of kids and involved in charity. We own 3 MediWeightloss clinics in Texas and I'm the manager. I'm here because I'm always trying to improve my poor English and I really admire the way Mackenzie speaks, so confident!
