Personal win
So as you know I have adhd (among other things) and this can give me problems when it comes to my studies and in business too. Paperwork is my kryptonite and when I try to read large amounts of text (like textbooks) my brain leaves my body. Buuuutttttt I just submitted my first assignment for this academic year 2 & a half weeks BEFORE the deadline!!!

Wow Leigh this is a great achievement. 🎉 I have not got adhd…well I don’t think so but I was always a last minute Annie at university. So never got it done until the very last minute. Had to pull some all nighters many a time. 🤦‍♀️

Omelet vs Scrambled eggs
This morning I was making breakfast and had a stupidly obvious thought that felt… weirdly business-y. Scrambled eggs and an omelet are basically the same ingredients, right? Eggs. Butter. Salt. Maybe cheese. Maybe a handful of whatever’s in the fridge. Same base. Totally different outcome. Scrambled eggs are chaos you gently manage. You keep things moving, you don’t overthink it, you let it be a little imperfect. It’s forgiving. Even if you mess up, it’s still edible. Still breakfast. An omelet is… intentional. It needs timing. Heat control. Structure. You commit. You fold. You don’t poke it too much or it falls apart. And if you try to treat it like scrambled eggs, you end up with a broken, sad egg pile and a tiny identity crisis. And I just sat there like: huh. Business does that too. Same “ingredients” on paper - offer, content, pricing, audience, systems - but the way you put them together changes everything. The order matters. The heat matters. The amount of stirring matters. Sometimes the difference between “this works” and “why is this a mess” isn’t more effort… it’s a small shift in method. Anyway. No big lesson. Just an observation brought to you by breakfast and the fact that eggs are humble little teachers.

Yes really like this idea. I might be able to add to this analogy. But reallly not sure you want me too. 🫣

@Leigh Rose ok so coaching and training is also like omelette and scrambled eggs. Because if you are intentional we can nurture the cognitive functions by carefully folding the omelette and adding just the right amount of knowledge. A pinch of salt or a hand full of cheese etc. checking all the time that it is not too salty and the cheese is melting in to the omelette without burning.. But if we are not carefully planning our content with intention we can basically do what the Egyptians did to people brains. We shove a hook in ( sometimes too much muddled content) mix it around turning it in to scrambled egg so our member is completely confused and a little muddled too. Until they basically forget everything! ( guess what I am teaching at school this half term! 😁🇪🇬
