What stood out to you the most?
Pause here for a moment to notice what just happened this week. Whether you made something or simply watched the natural dye workshopโ€ฆor going to this weekend. Acknowledge youโ€™ve taken something in. 1. What stood out to you most? (A colour? A technique? A small detail?) 2. What felt easy or natural? (This is worth paying attention to.) 3. What felt uncertain or surprising? (No need to fix it โ€” just notice it.) 4. What would you try differently next time? (Keep it simple โ€” one small change.) This is how you reset and make the next project feel lighter. Drop one or all of your answers below. If you havenโ€™t watched the replay - do that this weekend while it is available.

As I home ed, build business & lean into living sustainably with the natural rhythms, great question by the way as I have been thinking about this! I have learned I can't pick up something every day, it has to be in sequences. For example, I am sewing a bridal bodice, but to complete at a high standard, I have to block out dedicated me time, for hours, get engrossed in the sewing, and enjoy, rather than push through as children are whizzing around hehe. Block out time for me. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Coming to watch Melissa Gill tomorrow?
ADD to your Calendar includes link to join Watch what she does with Red Cabbage as she shows us what you can do with this humble vegetable and silk and wool pocket squares. She can also answer your questions if you prefer to use cotton or linen. If you haven't done the prep - that is ok, it will be fun to observe and learn from Melissa's many years in the fine arts. The video will be available in the Classroom for a week after I get the replay up for you.

Welcome to the calmest corner of the internet for people who love making meaningful gifts for the men in their life. To begin, please introduce yourself below. Iโ€™d love to hearโ€ฆ #1 โ€” Who are you, where are you from? #2 โ€” Whatโ€™s one thing youโ€™re hoping to learn here? #3 โ€” Who do you have in mind for your pocket square? #4 โ€” And for fun a GIF of his favourite hobby Iโ€™ll go firstโ€ฆ #1 โ€” Iโ€™m Jane Harbison, creator of this community. I live in Queensland, Australia, and I design sewing patterns and fabric that help people create garments men love to wear โ€” because meaningful gifts become lasting bonds. (No links please.) #2 โ€” My intention here: To guide you through a simple creative rhythm โ€” Saturate โ†’ Percolate โ†’ Create โ†’ Celebrate โ†’ Rejuvenate so you can make pocket squares you are proud of and make him smile. What I hope you walk away with is a stronger bond with the men youโ€™re making for, a renewed sense of creative intelligence, and a pocket square you canโ€™t wait to gift. #3 โ€” Who do I have in mind for my next pocket square? I donโ€™t know, but I will know when I see it. #4 โ€” Fun GIF Hobby: My husband loves golf and will endure almost any conditions to play. So here is my GIF - my favourite colour is pink and I love a good Argyle pattern design (which he has on his vest).

Hey Everyone, I'm Claire Amelia from Up North, England, UK. I love to learn all sorts of sewing techniques and disciplines. Made many pocket squares in my time (bridal industry) and the worst was stretch material in bright orange, I it still obviously haunts my brain! Favourite hobby...
