My results say I need to start with insulin resistance.

I’m in a space where now I’m more motivated about being intentional with taking care of myself. I’m listening to my body more and allowing it to tell me what I need to focus on.

@Quanita Abrams that's awesome ‼️. Our bodies are so incredible and when we listen and get a deep understanding of our body it is such a wonderful feeling🤗
Ladies, Don't Forget....!
You can’t pour from an empty cup... Take care of yourself first. I used to think I couldn't take care of myself and be a good doctor, wife, and mom to my son under 2. Something had to give, and it was always me. Spoiler: that didn't work. I was short-tempered, foggy-headed, and guilty all the time. So I started small. Water before coffee. Seven hours of sleep. Three deep breaths before walking in the door. Nothing earth-shattering. Just consistency. Now? I show up differently. I'm patient with my son when he melts down. I actually hear my husband at the end of the day. I make clinical decisions without that low-grade panic. My head is clearer. My peace is real. And the best part? Taking care of me didn't steal from them. It gave them more of me. That's the truth from one exhausted, recovering-overachiever to another. 💛

@Tiffany Cubbison yes most definitely. It also helps me when I replace a negative habit or mindset with a healthy positive alternative.💖

@Stephanie Dunlop thank you for creating this space. I had embraced the harmful grind culture mentality, I had suppressed so much and I didn't feel seen or heard by my healthcare community nor by my spiritual community. It took me decades to embrace protecting my peace, advocating for my health and wellness and affirming myself so I can show up well for my loved ones and my community💖
Hi ladies👋🏾
My name is Ciltona, I'm new to the community and so glad I found you. I was on blood pressure medications for years, stressed, depressed and working at a toxic job. I've retired the toxic job and I'm now protecting my peace and improving my health 💖

I am a poet, an inspirational speaker and a griot. I reflect on our rich Black culture and history, and remind people how amazing they are!
